Story
Meet Bullet, an energetic young male Weimaraner with a heart as big as his boundless enthusiasm. This friendly fellow loves nothing more than spending his days playing fetch, exploring the great outdoors, and showering his human companions with affection. Bullet's playful nature makes him an ideal companion for an active household that enjoys adventures and long walks. He's already received some basic training, so he has a good grasp of commands like sit, stay, and come. However, like any young pup, Bullet will benefit from continued training to hone his skills and strengthen the bond with his new family. When adopting Bullet, expect a loyal friend who will greet you with wagging tails and warm cuddles every day. Be prepared for plenty of exercise, as Weimaraner's are known for their high energy levels and need for regular physical activity. Bullet thrives on human interaction and would do best in a home where someone can provide him with ample attention and love. Adopting a dog like Bullet means welcoming a loving companion into your life who will offer you joy, loyalty, and a lifetime of cherished memories. What to Expect When Adopting a Dog: Adopting a puppy like Bullet is a wonderful and rewarding experience, but it also comes with responsibilities. Here are a few things to keep in mind: Time and Patience: Puppies require a lot of attention and training. Be prepared to invest time in teaching Bullet commands, house training, and socializing him with other pets and people. Exercise:  Bullet is full of energy and will need regular exercise to stay happy and healthy. Daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation are essential. Vet Visits: Regular vet check-ups are important to ensure Bullet's health. He'll need vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, and routine health checks. Love and Affection:  Bullet will thrive in a loving home where he feels safe and cared for. He'll repay your love with endless loyalty and companionship. Supplies: Make sure to have all the necessary supplies, such as a comfortable bed, toys, food and water bowls, a leash and collar, and grooming tools. &#226&#128&#139 If interested please go to our website and fill out an application. Story
Hello, future family! 👋 My name is Princess, and I am the most beautiful girl you'll ever meet! 🌟 Since my brothers found their forever homes, I’ve been coming out of my shell and showing off my sweet and charming personality. 🥰 My big floppy ears, wise soulful eyes, and cute freckled chest will melt your heart. I’m a blend of Pitbull and Weimaraner, giving me a wonderfully balanced energy level. At just Eight months old, I’m full of life and ready for playtime! 🐾 Whether it’s chasing balls, romping with canine friends, or curling up in your lap for cuddles and nap time, I’m always down for anything! 🎾 I absolutely love going for walks and trips to the park! 🌳 On our walks, I enjoy playing with other dogs but always stay close to my mom's side, never straying out of sight. 🚶‍♀️🐕 Currently, I’m living in a foster home with dogs, cats, and kids, and I get along great with everyone – even the cats! 🐱 I absolutely love curling up on the couch with my kitty friends. 🛋️ My foster family has been helping me with potty training and crate training, and I'm proud to say I’m now completely potty trained 🚽 and do really well in my crate. 🏠 I’m a quick learner with a sharp mind, eager to master new skills every day. 📚 While I'm still perfecting my leash manners, my intelligence and willingness to please make me a joy to train. 🐕 I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together! 🌈 Love, Princess 👑 If you're ready to welcome a royal addition into your home, Princess is eager to wear her crown with pride. 👸 Don't miss your chance to make this adorable pup a part of your kingdom! 🏡 Princess is still young, so she will need a family committed to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with leash training and provide daily exercise. 🏃‍♂️ We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
As circumstances in his families life has changed Brother finds himself looking for a new home. At 6.5 years old this guy seems to be a delight. He knows how to sit, stay, lay down, leave it, and what potty means. He loves his dog bed, is also crate trained, but he also loves to hang out on the couch or on your bed. Due to his breed he loves to chase cats, but he doesn't hurt them, and he will walk away if a cat challenges him. He needs a lot of walks and exercise, he loves to run and play chase. He isn't great with chickens or any small animals, he wants to hunt, who can blame him. He doesn't jump up or lick and best of all her loves kids. This guy will make a great addition to the family that understands the energy level of German Short Hair Pointers and whom are willing to accept him for who he is. If you are interested in meeting him please don't hesiate to email adoption@columbiahumane.org to obtain an adoption application. Once you have an approved application on file, we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet him. His adoption fee is $250.00, that includes him being current on all his vaccines, microchipped, treated for fleas and treated for worms. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgNovember 6, 2024, 5:41 am
