Story
Nibs is "happy, joyful and debonair, possibly the bravest Lost Boy. He was named after Nibs, a Lost Boy from Peter Pan. You see our Nibs seems to be deaf and being a deaf, young puppy is scary but Nibs is very brave about it. He is a big derpy boy. He is awesome and comical! You will need to watch out for his big feet because he will step right on yours. Nibs will body lean for pets and his tail wags will show you how happy he is... so happy you will need to watch out because it will snap you like a whip. Nibs wants to be friends and loved by everyone! Cats, he can be curious but will run scared and knock down anyone is his way at the first sign of any aggression. Dogs, he loves them all but can be a bit much for them being deaf. He doesn't hear their verbal cues but has learned quickly how to read their body language. Kids, while he does well with everyone, toddlers can be unpredictable and with Nibs being deaf a small child can be knockdown out of fear when he is startled but he adapts quickly and easily. Nibs does not jump on or lick you but he loves belly rubs. While he loves to play and can be a bulldozer, he enjoys relaxing and taking naps a lot. He likes all toys and fetches but either wants to play tug of war upon return or hides it. Give Nibs a hard chew like a nylabone or Himalayan cheese and he redirects very well with them. Nibs is super smart as well as a quick learner and has learned hand signs. He knows how to go (wherever someone points to: crate, room, outside, ETC), come (to the person signing), sit, lay down and he is doing well with No (when he needs to calm from play inside or when he wants to hump). Nibs gets overly excited and does try to hump things, mainly blankets or one of the other dogs. He redirects easily with a tap and the sign for no. It has actually become A-LOT more rare these days. He is overall the sweetest, most chill, energy filled to lazy snuggle boy. He loves being around his people but will dart back with new introductions. He likes to sniff and get chin pets but not reaching over his head. He learns so much through smell and sight because he cannot hear. Once he says "hello you will find him either wanting to playful bow and get you to play with him or lean in for pets and love while taking a seat at your feet.

Story
Arlo, Watch out ladies, this handsome pup will try to snuggle his way into your heart. Well, if not your heart, certainly your lap. Arlo is a 1 1/2-2 yr (DOB 10/08/22) old fawn-colored Weimaraner mix. He is medium-sized and very lean. He is cuter than cute and full of energy. He loves to play with humans and dogs. After about 2 months in foster, he has finally stopped chasing the cat as if he were a squirrel. They are now tolerable of each other, but not exactly playmates. That being said, I do believe it best he goes to a home without a feline, or with a dog-savvy feline. Arlo is a typical Velcro dog. Though he is very active, he loves to snuggle on the couch and will do his best to take up ¾ of the bed. This young pup is also perfect with no accidents in the house. And, he has learned to bark when he wants back in the house as opposed to jumping against the door. His leash manners are slowly improving. But let's face it gals, no guy is perfect. And neither is Arlo. For one, he is lacking in manners. He has greatly improved at jumping on people, but will occasionally give in to his excitement, especially when we have been gone for a while at work or school. We do our best to keep chew toys and other toys to keep him busy while we are away. He is also improving at only getting on the couch when permitted and jumping down when he is told. Though he will tolerate a crate, I would not recommend it for more than a couple of hours. He is likely to destroy anything in the crate. Like most Velcro dogs, he does not like being away from his people for extended periods. Though he has done extremely well with not chewing, we have had some casualties along the way: 3 boxes of tissues, random sheets of paper, a set of insoles, etc. But I believe this has more to do with not being able to go outside and roughhouse as often with this cold weather. Arlo is very protective of his people. He is vocal when a stranger enters the house. He will need an alpha personality to keep him in check. Are you the good match for this lover boy? Well, since he is still very much a puppy, he really should have a family that is home more often and is active. He needs attention. Because of his propensity to jump, younger children are not recommended. A fenced-in yard is also highly recommended. Ideally, he would do great with someone who likes to do outdoor activities. I believe he would do great with canine sports. He is extremely fast and smart. So, what do you think, is this handsome pup for you?
