Story
This boy and his brother were found by a Park Ranger wondering in a field, starving. They were brought to us and nursed back to health. Otto is a bit more vocal and loves attention. He likes to play and is excited about everything. He would be great to have on any adventure and will need an active family to keep him busy. He is just go go go. He is just a baby who needs lessons in all things puppy and the patience that goes with it. He is learning not to jump up on people but will need help with it so small kids will need to be careful. He acts before he thinks, just like a small kid. He is just a sweet, fun pure puppy that is ready for a family to love fully and be with forever. He is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
I adopted Nova from a family member who was her first owner for 2.5 years. Nova has been a great dog and loves lots of hugs and attention. Due to some family changes and an increased work schedule I am unable to give her the attention she deserves. She enjoys walks, tugging with toys, running around our yard and playing in the woods. She is very smart and knows various commands that make her very pleasant to be around. (Sit, Come, Off, Lay Down, Bed, and Kennel.) Nova is house and kennel trained. She prefers a dog bed over a kennel. She is also trained with a perimeter dog collar system that I will include with her adoption. I will also include collar, harness, nail trimmer, and Shedding Brush. Nova has the most silky fur and her hair is very fine and shedding is minimal if she is brushed monthly. Her nickname is “supernova.”

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxBonnaroo is currently in boarding while we continue to search for a foster or adoptive home. While boarding is safe it willl never compare to laying on a soft bed in his own home. Let’s get Bon into a home where he can build human connections and thrive!Meet Bonnaroo! This handsome fella needs a strong, gentle pack leader who will not allow him to be in charge.  Yes he is a big boy and can be a bit overwhelming to some but when he knows you are the boss because you guide him to do the right thing, he is all yes ma’am, yes sir.  He will need continued training and yes, we have a trainer already set up to work with him.  We just need a adopter or foster who is willing to put in the time for socialization and training.  He will thrive in an environment that has boundaries and expectations for him to follow. He is true to his people and although needs a minute to be ok with strangers, once he is comfortable, he is all snuggles and happy wiggles. He is housebroken and crate trained and walks well on a leash.  Right now he prefers to be the only dog in the home.  He can be around other dogs, but is a bit awkward and wants to show them he is the boss.  Yes, the trainer will help with that.   Look at that face…. Won’t you help Bonnaroo be all he can be??   If you have filled out an application please just email adoptionatmars@gmail.com   If you are a previous foster please email fosteratmars@gmail.com   Let's get this big guy home!!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Hello, it’s nice to meet you! My name is Alicia and I’m estimated to be a 1-year-old Catahoula leopard dog mix. I weigh 39 pounds. I have the same name as my foster mom so my foster parents call me Aurora. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and boy am I happy to be free! My foster parents say I’m just about the sweetest girl ever. I love meeting new people and giving them kisses. I’m gentle, affectionate, and appreciative. I haven’t met any kids in my foster home but I’m sure I’d love a human kiddo to play with! Sometimes I jump up to give hugs so you would need to watch me with littles, that way I don’t accidentally knock them over. I have met many dogs and loved them all! I currently live with a 60lb and a 70lb dog. I like to play for short bursts and can entertain myself if my furry friends aren’t feeling active. I’ve had a small amount of exposure to cats and did just fine with them. My foster parents are impressed with my training so far! I like to lay in the kennel for naps and don’t mind sleeping in there at night. If I’m in a playful mood and have to be kenneled when you leave the house, I may bark for a little bit. Shared walls aren’t best for me right now just to be safe. My foster parents let me sleep in bed with them and I don’t make a peep all night. I am potty trained! I did have accidents when I first joined my foster home, so my adopter should expect that I’ll have a few accidents as I get acclimated to a new routine. My foster mom says I am such an easy girl to walk on leash! Going on walks is a lot of fun and I especially like looking at the squirrels. In new environments, I don’t always know what I’m allowed to chew on. Sometimes I’ll grab something I shouldn’t, but I redirect to a toy very easily. Did I mention that I love toys? Stuffed animals are my favorite thing to chew on! I’m an easy girl to love with my honey eyes and gentle soul. I can’t wait to find my forever home!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $525.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 14, 2025, 4:29 pm
