Story
This boy and his brother were found by a Park Ranger wondering in a field, starving. They were brought to us and nursed back to health. These boys are just sweethearts! Otto is a bit more vocal and loves attention. He likes to play and is excited about everything. He would be great to have on any adventure and will need an active family to keep him busy. He is just go go go. He is just a baby who needs lessons in all things puppy and the patience that goes with it. He is learning not to jump up on people but will need help with it so small kids will need to be careful. He acts before he thinks, just like a small kid. He is just a sweet, fun pure puppy that is ready for a family to love fully and be with forever. He is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Douglas, affectionately known as Uncle Doug, is a happy-go-lucky Weimaraner with a silver coat that shimmers in the sunlight. At 6 years old, this neutered male is a bundle of joy and a true entertainer at heart. Personality and Traits:Douglas is a social butterfly who loves to greet everyone with his signature woo woo welcome. He has a playful spirit and enjoys rummaging through his toy box picking out his favorites, like his absolute fave wooden chew block (a must have for him), often serenading his family with his Bing Crosby-like croons. His tail is always wagging, even in his sleep, showing his constant joy and affection. Dog and Kid Friendly:Douglas is friendly with other dogs, especially larger ones, though he has lived harmoniously with a smaller dog. He is a bit of a "pied Piper" to the younger dogs and they love following their"uncle Douggie" around the yard on his sniffing strolls! He is also good with kids, particularly those over 10 years old, making him a wonderful family companion fora family with an olderset of children. Due to hissize he can be a bit overwhelming forlittle ones. People Friendly:While Douglas loves people, he can be a bit barky until he gets to exchange greetings. Once he knows you, hes all about cuddles and companionship. Living Habits:Douglas is a free-roamer who is perfectly content exploring the house. He can be crated for short periods but prefers lounging on the couch or a doggie bed. Hes known to pilfer a thing or two for his own amusement, often taking his treasures out the dog door. Grooming Needs:As a long-haired Weimaraner, Douglas requires occasional grooming to keep his handsome appearance. Regular trims of his toe tufts and coat ensure he looks his dapper best. Energy Level:Douglas has a lower to moderate energy level. He enjoys leisurely strolls and the occasional zoomie but is generally a laid-back fellow. A solid 5-6 ft fenced yard is ideal for him, though he might adapt to an e-collar fence with proper training. Environment:Douglas thrives in a rural setting where he can watch deer, bunnies, and ducks. Hes also vigilant about package deliveries, ensuring no mishandling occurs. Car Rides and Crates:Douglas enjoys car rides and is happy to accompany you on your travels. While he can be crated for short periods, he much prefers the freedom to roam the house and serenade you upon your return. If youre looking for a handsome, melodic, and pure-hearted companion to enrich your life, Douglas is sure to win your heart with his charm and warmth

Story
Meet Mara, a sweet three-year-old female Weimaraner. Shes spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Mara has quickly adapted to her in-ground electric fence and happily stays in the yard, even when tempted by critters just beyond reach. With a typical Weimaraner energy level, Mara is playful during the day but settles down nicely at night. She is crate trained and sleeps comfortably in her crate, though she can experience some anxiety when her favorite human is away. A little anxiety medication helps her feel more secure during the day. While she enjoys roaming freely, she does exhibit the classic Weim counter-surfing tendencies! Once shes comfortable, Mara is an affectionate companion who seeks out pets and will return your kisses with enthusiasm. She can startle at unexpected noises but calms down with reassurance. Mara is sensitive and needs some time to warm up to new people, particularly men. Its best to let her approach you when shes ready. Having been a wonderful mother to a litter of puppies, Mara does well with other medium to large breed dogs. Rescued from a home with reported domestic abuse, she can be apprehensive around men at first, but she warms up and forms strong bonds over time. Mara definitely has a soft spot for women! Shes cautious around stick-like objects, such as broomsticks, so a gentle approach is best. Mara would thrive in a home with mature kids (over 12) and would prefer a calm environment where her humans are home most of the time. After settling in for about a week, her loving personality truly shines. She adores her nooking pillow and loves car rides; she even enjoyed her first boat ride! This gorgeous girl is ready to be your new best friend! Mara will gaze lovingly into your eyes while you shower her with affection.

Story
Meet Rusty, the epitome of mellow charm in a Weimaraner package! At 2 years old, Rusty is a serene soul currently nestled in Menomonee Falls, WI, under the care of a loving foster family. Rusty loves the simple pleasures in life. Youll often find him enjoying leisurely walks or engaging in playful antics. Rusty is a connoisseur of outdoor lounging, soaking up the suns warmth with contentment. Hes the type to sit back, observe, and appreciate the world around him, though hes not adverse to a bit of toy thievery when the mood strikes. Rusty is an amazing hunter with a high prey drive, so he needs a home where furry friends like bunnies and birds are kept safe. Despite this instinct, he walks well on a leash and would love to have another dog in the home to play with. Rusty is also a seasoned traveler, making him an ideal companion for a family with a penchant for exploration. In summary, Rusty is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a touch of mischief to a loving home. If youre seeking a canine pal to join your adventures and fill your days with laughter, look no further than Rusty.

Story
Meet Ozzy, a stunning and spirited approximately 2-year-old Weimaraner with a zest for life and a heart full of love, currently residing in Howell, Michigan. This handsome boy is neutered, house and crate trained, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccinations, including rabies, Lyme, and lepto. Ozzy's natural hunting instincts shine through in his behavior. He loves to chase, track, and point at everything in the yard, especially birds! Despite his high drive, he remains focused and well-behaved within the yard. He has clearly had training and knows commands such as "park it," "sit," "stay," "off," and "leave it," and he is currently mastering "heel" and leash training during walks. Ozzy also adapted quickly to an in-ground electric fence. With his sharp intelligence and eagerness to learn, Ozzy has the potential to excel as a working dog, ready to take on any challenge. He enjoys the company of other dogs, especially medium to large breeds, but he prefers a home without cats, small animals, or pet birds/fowl. Ozzy loves being part of a pack but naturally assumes the alpha role and will be the first out the door if given the chance. Once he settles in, Ozzy transforms into a snuggle bug who adores giving kisses and cuddling. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion with a lively spirit, Ozzy could be the perfect addition to your home.
