Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Kids 16 +Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesLilac is a sweet, lazy girl who is looking for a quiet home where she can play some fetch and then curl up in the dog bed and take a nap (her two favorite things). Lilac is wonderful with other dogs when properly introduced, and she loves to play. She would love a fenced yard to romp in. She can be leash reactive to new dogs, and though she has improved with training, this will always be something she needs to work on. For this reason, proper intros are a must with her.  She is also ecollar trained. so her perfect home would continue this training with her. She excels with structure and routine.Where Lilac still struggles greatly is with meeting new people in the home. Outside the home, and even a the vet, she is generally fine. When people that she does not know very very well come into the home, Lilac should be crated, leashed, or muzzled. She needs to be slowly introduced to new people, but once she gets to know you very very well, she's all in and is the kissiest, snuggliest girl.  She is even very sweet to pretty much everyone while muzzled, so that's an easy fix to keep her safe.  When people she does not know come into the home, she can get vocal,  but when introduced while muzzled she does fine.  Because of her reactivity to new people, a single family home is the best fit for her. She would not do well in an apartment. Lilac has had a long road, and while she has come a long way, she is very much still a work in progress. With the right family she will do just fine.Lilac's issues have happened in the past when her intros to new people coming into the home were not controlled.  So I can't emphasize enough that she needs to take it slow with new people :) But she will reward you for sure once you get to know her. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. She is eager to please and an adoring companion to her humans!Millie is great with meeting new dogs, freely sharing her food and toys. Her favorite toys are bones and balls. She enjoys running, wrestling, and playing keep away with her dog friends in the morning and evenings. She sleeps most of the day between meals. Millie is very athletic and could be a great running companion or candidate for agility.Millie has lived well with a dog-savvy cat, greeting her with a friendly boop before ignoring her. She would do well with adults or in a home with older, calmer kids. She is fully crate trained during the day when her humans are away from home. Millie is also very good in the car and will jump in and out on her own. Millie does very well on a leash, having enjoyed visiting various town events and local businesses.Millie’s perfect home will be on the quieter side, give her lots of affection, and provide her opportunities to be active. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog-savvy catsGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy kidsCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: Mostly Caspian is an adorable little dude that does not let his size slow him down. He would enjoy a loving home that provides him with patience and an energy outlet (whether daily walks or daycare). He enjoys playing with other dogs and can be rough but is good at taking cues. He has largely ignored cats down south, so would likely do fine with a feline sibling. Caspian has interacted well with kids and would likely be fine with a dog savvy kid in the home.He is crate-trained, mostly house-trained and is primarily accident free in his foster home on a routine. Caspian is used to being crated. He sleeps quietly all night and will ocassionally whine/bark if he realizes he's missing out on the fun but is easily corrected. He does well on the leash and enjoys his daily walks.Caspian has so much love to give and is ready to jump into his next chapter- is he the one you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website.
