Story
Tulliver is a wonderful young mystery mutt. Everyone sees a different breed in him but what we know for sure is he is full of love and cuddles. Tulliver came into rescue after being removed from his home due to neglect and abuse. He was a horrifying sad sight. Tulliver was emaciated, had large patches of missing fur and weighed less than 25 pounds and was a very scared dog. After a month in his foster home, Tulliver now weighs 35 pounds, his coat is filling out and he is learning the joys of being in a home with playful dogs and people to cuddle. He is fully grown and 2 years old.
Tulliver loves to run around with his foster sister in the backyard and play chase. He has just started chewing on nylabones and carrying around stuffies but happily shares them with the other dogs in the house. Tulliver continues to love to eat and is very food motivated. He has already learned to sit but he wags his tail so hard when he is waiting for his treat, it is a dancing sit! He sleeps in bed with his foster parents and his favorite activity in the morning is to get belly rubs and cuddles before going out. He is a contortionist who will sleep with all four paws sticking up or twisted around backwards. His goofy grin and weird positions keep his foster parents laughing.
Tulliver walks well on a leash and loves exploring parks or sniffing the neighborhood fire hydrant. He gets nervous with new noises, like the vacuum or car wash but with time and care adjusts to them. Tulliver would do well in most homes, but he would love to have a playful, confident dog buddy to show him the way. He is an active guy and will need regular exercise and attention. Surprisingly from his background, Tulliver does not have any destructive behaviors, like chewing inappropriately etc. He is respectful of both the young and old dogs in his foster home. Tulliver is a shy guy with new people at first. It takes him a bit to get comfortable with new people in his house.
Tulliver is crate trained and housetrained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. He requires a physically fenced yard so he can run and play safely.
