Update: Obi is doing great in his foster home. He has 2 foster Weim sisters and 1 Weim foster brother. He gets along with all of them!!! Obi loves to chase squirrels and birds; he is obedient, sleeps through the night on he end of the bed and has never messed in the house. Most of the time, Obi just likes to hang out and look out the window, but he does love a good run when he goes to the farm. Wait until you see Obi!!! Obi is a very handsome, sweet 8 yr old boy that was surrendered to rescue because his family's work scheduled changed and they could not provide the time and attention that Obi needed. Obi is good with other dogs, preferably submissive other dogs, is housebroken and loooooooooooooves his people. He's even good with CATS!!!! Obi rides well in the car and lived with children. Obi does have separation anxiety so his new family will need to be home most of the time, have a fenced yard, and can provide lots of exercise and love.

Story
Update 2: From Cole's foster mom...Cole is super sweet and will be an amazing addition to any family. Definitely submissive with Duke (his foster Weim brother) and friendly our small dog Jaylo and not bothered at all by our cat. No food aggression. He has better manners than Duke. He loves his toys. Walks to heal and follows basic commands. Barely can think of any negatives. Cole had his first heartworm injection (12/23/24)and will remain in quiet time for 30 days when he will have 2 more injections (1/23/25), 24 hrs apart and 30 more days of quiet time. Update: We are so happy to let you all know that there are some amazing families among us and we are so grateful to have them on our team. Cole met his temporary foster mom yesterday (11-23-24) and he will meet another foster family next weekend. He will have a foster brother and sister. Thank you so much Jenna Sobh and the Peach family for stepping up for Cole. Cole will continue his heartworm treatment with the Peach family. Welcome Cole! Cole's story is like so many others...he was picked up as a stray and his owner was never found after exhaustive searching. The family that saved Cole from being hit by a car cared for him and he enjoyed hanging out with the other female Weim in the home. Cole was not fond of the Weim puppy. Cole is approx. 3-5 yrs old, neutered and has a docked tail. He is housebroken, knows "drop it", and walks okay on leash. His favorite thing is cuddling...he's a real pro!!! Unfortunately, Cole's previous family did not provide heartworm preventative and he will go through treatment prior to completion of adoption. AWCR pays for all medical.

Say hello to Jeni!!!! This adorable 13 mos old girl is ready to find her forever home. Jeni is on the small side (60 lbs) and is good with other dogs; she loves everyone she meets. She is housebroken and okay left free-roaming in the house with parameters. She is good on leash and has good manners, although she tends to be a bit mouthy. Her foster mom is working on that! Jeni would do best in a home that can provide tons of structure and exercise. Jeni would be okay with older children as she could knock over a toddler.
