Meet Tugboat, an ADORABLE 4-5 month old neutered male weim/pointer mix! He has the classic Weim gorgeous light eyes and the cutest little speckled nose, that he loves to sniff the ground on walks (the pointer in him). He is expected to grow to a medium sized dog.  Tugboat is a friendly, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. He is medically up to date, crate trained, and is fully housebroken (no accidents in his crate or in the home, he's still a pup so he does need more potty breaks than an adult dog. As long as he is getting out to potty enough, he passes housetraining with FLYING colors! He truly is one smart pooch! He is wonderful on leash, and has a very sweet, easy, laid back temperament. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. He likes to play and is excited about everything. He would be great to have on any adventure and will need an active family to keep him busy. He is just go go go. He is just a baby who needs lessons in all things puppy and the patience that goes with it. He is learning not to jump up on people but will need help with it so small kids will need to be careful. He acts before he thinks, just like a small kid. He is just a sweet, fun pure puppy that is ready for a family to love fully and be with forever. He is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

So my foster mom named me Jager (after one of her favorite drinks... JagerMEISTER....) I am not sure why I remind her of drinking... but I definitely prefer a name and a foster home with food EVERY DAY and LOVE with ALL KINDS OF STUFFED TOYS to starving on the streets....so call me whatever you want foster lady, I am OK with it!! I am a busy boy, with the most SWEET nature. I LOVE toys and other dogs and would really be best in a home with a playful friend and kids too? I even like kitties!!! I will promise to be a good boy and love you as much as you will love me :) I am a Weimer/hound mix we think!!! Hard to tell my breed mix, I have the most GORGEOUS SILVER fur but it is very hard to identify what my mom was and what my dad was.... we generally call it San Antonio Street Special- and I am SPECIAL! Baby is a sweet, well socialized, fun little pup and she's ready to join a family of her own. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
