Story
The best companion! Howdy! My name is Joraley, and I’m a 6-year-old, 48-pound neutered Weimaraner mix.  I’m one of the lucky ones to have escaped from Ellos Son La Razon in Ensenada and feel so grateful that I have this second chance! I’m a gentle, sweet, and loyal boy who loves having company.  I like to be near my people, but I’m not an in-your-face type and am respectful of boundaries. In fact, I’m learning how to be affectionate, and one of my favorite things to do is lean up against you for a rub, then flop near you on the couch and slowly inch my way over. My fave activities include getting treats, taking walks, and playing with other doggie friends. I also love entertaining myself with toys, and I’ll take out every toy from the toy basket and trot them around the house. As far as my training goes, I’m fully potty-trained, and I’m good with crates, too. In fact, I’ll happily plop inside one, then sit and wait for my treat.  At night, I sleep inside my crate like a champ and don’t make a single peep. During the day is a different story, though, since I don’t care much to be crated when I know you’re also home.   Leash training for me is a work in progress. However, I’m very treat motivated and not easily distracted by other dogs, so I think I’ll master it in no time! Other than that, though, I have mild/moderate separation anxiety when left behind, and I’m working hard on improving in that area. My ideal home (either mellow or active) would be one that has regular company, and a work-from-home type situation would be a huge plus.  Kiddos and kitties are currently an unknown for me, but I’d love to have a doggie sibling or two. Are we destined to be together? My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/. ##2181634##

Story
We have two dogs, Quincy wiemanar who just turned 6 in September and Dalí a blue healer who will be 4 in December. Me and my husband are divorcing and need to re-home both dogs. We would love them to go together if possible. They are very active dogs who need space and daily exercise. Very protective dogs but lovable. They bark at everything and need to be more socialized with other humans and dogs. We go to Coronado as they love the water/beach and walk to our local dog park daily.

Story
This gorgeous blue boy is available for adoption from Jericho's Promise Animal Rescue located in Johnson Valley in Southern California. I can transport him throughout SoCal, and other transport is available to Oregon and Washington! His name is Rascal and I think he might possibly be a weimaraner mix. He is apprx 5 to 6 months old. He has a wonderful temperament! Calm and easy going. He does great with other dogs, cats and kids. He loves being next to and cuddling with his person. In fact, he curls up in a box under his foster mommy's desk to be close to her while she works. I think he may be around 55 pounds full grown, although he could be significantly smaller. I don't think he will be bigger. Jericho's Promise Animal Rescue is waiving his adoption fee, but there will be an application, home check, and a contract. References will be checked. Adopter will be responsible for transportation fees. If an adopter cannot be found, I need a new foster home! My foster is wonderful but she also has another JPAR puppy, and her hands are full! Please let me know if you are interested in learning more about our beautiful boy!

Canela is easily attached to her person. At first she takes some time to get out of her shell and lose that shyness. She gets along with other dogs and is house trained. Her ideal home would be a more serene environment.

Luna is a courtesy post only, and is not a Second Chance Dog Rescue dog.  SCDR is  not  responsible for any ownership, behavior, health, or other representations made by the poster with respect to this dog.  You must contact his foster mom Wendy directly @ 949-202-6089 Luna is a very sweet and affectionate 3-year-old spayed female, 50 lb mix. She is being rehomed by her owner who pulled her from a rescue.   Her current owner has had her for 6 months and she is very healthy, vaccinated and has been through training classes so knows her commands and is house trained. Luna loves smaller dogs and puppies and would do great living with any breed her size or smaller. She's great with kids and would be fine with a cat (she is curious but respectful with cats). Luna is a couch potato at home and only barks when someone comes to the door. She loves her walks but can be leash reactive when meeting bigger dogs but she's fine with them at doggy day care off the leash. Luna’s owner is rehoming her due to a job change that no longer allows her to give Luna the life she deserves.    Please reach out to Wendy at 949-202-6089 if you would like to meet Luna.    There is a $100 rehoming fee.  November 7, 2024, 10:13 pm

Indio was around the shelter for two years, neglected by his former owners, we decided to give him a space in the shelter when he started playing among the cars on the road. In the midst of danger we were able to get him to safety, and he currently has his full vaccination schedule, microchipped and neutered, ready for his new home. He is a very faithful, intelligent, calm and very sociable dog. He was raised with other dogs and cats, so he makes him a good companion for any family, he likes to go for a walk on a leash, cuddles, receive prizes and learns very quickly. He is an affectionate companion, ideal for a family with children and cats, who wants to give him the love he deserves. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Story
Marvin is a sweet and noble dog, 1.5 years old and 30 pounds. He was hanging around the shelter for a couple of weeks, he was given food, water and some love, but we decided to take him in when he arrived really injured and covered in blood, we think he was attacked by dogs. Fortunately in his medical checkup he didn't come out with many problems, and he is now healthy and ready for his new home! He knows how to coexist with other dogs, although he has his temper, he is usually very tolerant with effusive puppies. He likes to sleep in his giant bed, is crate-trained, house-trained and is sociable and friendly with new people. He knows how to ride in a car, and smiles when you scold him, he is adorable! We don't know exactly what breed he is, google lens finds a resemblance to an English Pointer and Andalusian ratter. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar.
