  Animal Profile: Harvey is an 15  month old male Pointer/Pit bull mix. His foster in Texas says he is friendly with people, great with the resident dogs and respectful of the cats.  He is very treat motivated, and is doing well with potty training. He's also learned to sit nicely for his treats! Foster Update: Harvey is a sweet, well mannered boy who loves a good snack and can’t wait to play with his toys. He’s getting along great with the resident dogs and has great play tendencies with all dogs we’ve seen him play with. He’s a little timid when meeting new people but warms up with a little time and some gentle support. Harvey is potty trained and is very well crate trained (he loves to spend time in his crate!). Harvey is looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and a canine companion. Harvey will need an experienced large breed owner to help teach him boundaries. We are not considering homes with small children at this time.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Animal Profile: Marley is an almost 4-year-old neutered male 60lb mixed breed (DNA test showed German Shorthaired Pointer, Lab, Pitbull). He came to us as a puppy and was adopted but returned several years later due to anxiety around the young toddler in the home. Marley is friendly with other dogs, has lived without issues with cats, and is a loyal companion to his people. He is discerning with new people but not reactive. He is nervous with small children who don't respect his space. He is house-trained, crate-trained and has good basic obedience training.
