Story
Esme is a simple girl that came to our attention at Critter Cavalry Rescue as she struggled to find a place to raise her 7 puppies that she birthed.  The odds were stacked but she managed to bring 3 of the 7 puppies through to the place that they could be adopted during the coming weeks.  This girl is 2 years old, weighs 35 pounds and has a sleek, beautiful demeanor that speaks to everyone she meets with a kindness and courage.  Esme is learning how to enjoy the niceties of being an inside dog as she has raised her puppies.  She is housebroken, crate trained and is good with all the other dogs and cats at the foster home.  She is around young active children (boys) and she keeps her calm demeanor through all the activities of the children. She loves people so much and just to be with someone.  She is food motivated and very bright and can learn so much if you use the treat method to win her attention and desire to learn a trick or commands. She is a great medium energy girl that is ready to chase a toy or ball but has not gotten the memo on how to bring it back to the person who threw it. She is wonderful on a leash and has a slight playful side to her. This pretty girl is really not big at all and on the smaller side of a Lab and she demands little from life or her people.  We are wanting the sun, moon and stars for her future with a new family. Could you give that to her?  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm

Story
Dodger  is a chill dog who would be a wonderful addition to a family with children.  He currently lives in a foster home with two kids (5 and 7) with no issues.  Dodger  was picked up by animal control as an abandoned dog. His owner had moved away,  leaving him in a crowded shelter euthanizing for space. During his time in the shelter, he was described to have a soft, independent, and friendly play style with other dogs during play groups. Volunteers described him as "docile" and "gentle." Dogger loves going on walks and greeting everyone he meets. He is receptive to greeting other dogs too. He is easy on the leash. Overall, he has medium energy. Dodger 's sweet and tolerant personality shines when he is around kids. He is ready to start a new beginning with a forever family.   Apply to adopt Dodger at EHRDOGS.ORG November 3, 2024, 6:29 pm

If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 4, 2024, 10:30 am

*Name: Nadia  *Age: D.O.B. Approx 2/25/24 *Current Weight: 15lbs *Rescued from: Texas  *Adoption fee: $550  (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Hello, future family! My name is Nadia, and I'm a sweet 6-month-old pup with a heart as big as my smile. I came into the world and was adopted from the shelter when I was just a baby. Unfortunately, my first adventure was a bit of a rollercoaster—after ingesting rat poison, I was returned and spent a week in the hospital getting fluids. But guess what? I’m a little warrior and fully recovered, ready to bring joy and love into a new home! Here’s a bit about me: Social Butterfly: I love everyone I meet—humans, dogs, cats, pigs, and even parrots! I get along with all kinds of creatures and am always eager to make new friends. Playful and Loving: I’m full of energy and enthusiasm. Whether it's chasing after a toy or snuggling on the couch, I’m always up for a good time. Healthy and Happy: I’m in great health now and ready to live a long, happy life with my new family. I’m fully recovered and raring to go! I am UTD on vaccines, crate trained and working on my house training! If you're looking for a loving, friendly, and adaptable pup who will fill your life with happiness and fun, I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to find my forever home where I’ll be showered with love and adventure. With tail wags and puppy kisses, Nadia IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2144523##

Story
Iggy is so easy he’d be a blessing in any home situation. He loves people and other dogs so he can go hiking to sitting on the couch with you. He’s such a great dog! His owner passed away and the family had been paying a friend of the family to feed and care for the animals and he didn't show up for the rst 2 weeks. Conditions were horrific. He loves small children and is extremely gentle. Of course small kids should be supervised Age: 1.5 years WT: 62lbs. Temperament: Good with all people, kids and dogs Vetting: neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative Training: House trained, crate trained For questions, please email loramyers51@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.

Story
Sash's story began in 2013 when he arrived at Pets Alive from a rural shelter in Georgia with very few resources. While a rockstar in doggie playgroups, Sash has kept his human circle of friends very small. Over the years, his circle of human friends has grown, and we continue to work on expanding it. Meanwhile, he enjoys his doggie playgroups and teaching other dogs how to be the best doggie friends they can be! Sponsorships allow us to do what we do best: always being there for the pets in our care. Sash is one of those that shows the lifetime commitment Pets Alive makes. If you would like to sponsor his care, please click the link here: https://www.petsalive.com/sponsor.html We appreciate any help that allows us to continue doing what we do best: caring for our animals!
