Story
Howie is a 5 year old English Pointer mix. He is a sweet dog, a little shy at first but is full of joy and love. His playful demeanor will bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart. Whether he's chasing his tail in the yard or cuddling up on the couch, Howie is always ready for fun and affection. Howie is a high energy dog that requires a fenced yard to safely run around and play. Due to the overpopulation issues in the South, Howie has been boarding with our vet office. It is unknown if he is housetrained. He is very smart and admires positive reinforcement therefore would learn basic commands and housetraining quickly. Howie is good with other dogs and older children.  PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT:   Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states.  ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not breed or DNA test.*** Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested (6 months of age and older) microchipped and has current flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  You can visit our website at www.forpetssakerescue.org for our full adoption process and adoption application.
