Story
Nope, Joye is not a Golden, but GRRAND just couldn't say no to this beautiful needy pup! This sweet girl was rescued from a horrible hoarding situation and was rescued by the right person who knew a GRRAND volunteer and here she is! Well, she had 3 puppies n 8/15, and she has landed in a lovely foster home to have those puppies! once they arew weaned, she is on with starting a new life! We think she is a Visla/Hound mix, but there is NO telling! Maybe there is a little Golden in her somewhere, as she is so sweet in demeanour, but we just don't know! So, we say... It's anybody's guess what breed she is, but we call it Perfect! Joye is around 4 years old and about 32lbs (POST PUPPIES!) Her foster mom says: "Joye is basically a sweet little happy gem, that made her way right into our home. She seemed to be comfortable riding in the car, and met my 2 large dogs with a waggy tail. Joye loves to sun herself on the deck, she is very cat friendly, and gives kisses freely when you sit with her! She will make an amazing mama, and a wonderful loving, low maintenance pet".  Joye has had 3 healthy puppies... Juniper, Sierra and Forrest! She is a good momma and here is the latest update from her foster mom: "Joye is potty-trained, yet she hasn’t established a verbal cue for us to let her out, but she will go to the door and wait... she’s very quiet. She rarely barks, only when someone is at the door and prompted by my dogs. She is highly motivated by food, so that will make her easy to train once she’s a little less busy with her babies". Joye is looking for her forever family and she is anxious to get her puppies weaned so she can start a new life with her new family!!! Please check back later for more info and if you are interested in meeting Joye, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2145060##

Story
Sierra and her siblings Juniper and Sierra, were born on 8-15. Thier mommy is our sweet girl Joye, who is GUESSED to be a visla/hound mix, but we do not now for sure. She is proving to be a great momma to her puppies, and they should be ready for adoption sometime early/mid October. They are 2.5 weeks now, just over 4lbs. Their eyes are open, walking wobbly, baby barks and wrestling, but still mostly eating, sleeping and being adorable! Puppies are a lot of work, and if you are interested in a GRRAND puppy and have children, PLEASE SEE THE ADOPTION FAQs section of the website for more detailed info. GRRAND policies stipulate a few important things that may stop you from applying, and here are 2 big ones- A: GRRAND will NOT place a puppy under the age of 6 months with families with children under 6 yrs old  B: Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard... meaning direct access to the yard from the home… so this means no apartments or condos.  As with all puppies, they will need a home where someone is home most of the time as they need to be fed regularly, and let to go outside consistently and constantly ALL DAY LONG so potty training can be a breeze. They will be looking for a family with LOTS of time and patience to socialize and work with a puppy so they can grow up to be good pups! ***Exercise and direction are a must as a tired puppy is a good puppy!! It is a lot of fun, but it is a lot of work, and if you don't have the time, an active and non-stop playful puppy may not be for you!  Families must understand there needs to be constant supervision as children of all ages need to learn to respect an animal and puppies, and need to be taught boundaries. We are excited these pups will get to know what a nice soft bed, in a warm and cozy home with a loving family is all about! We will update as we learn more about these cuties, but if you are interested in meeting them, they are in a foster home waiting for you! Please fill out an application at GRRAND.org ##2152141##
