Story
Nope, Julie is not a Golden, but GRRAND just couldn't say no to this beautiful needy pup! This sweet girl was rescued from a horrible hoarding situation and was rescued by the right person who knew a GRRAND volunteer and here she is! Maybe there is a little Golden in her somewhere, as she is so sweet in demeanour, but we just don't know! So, we say... It's anybody's guess what breed she is, but we call it Perfect!
Julie was adopted from GRRAND in 2024, and was doing great, but we are told "She stayed inside our yard for about seven months. Recently she began to climb the fence and roam around dangerous roads. We cannot insure her safety and fear she will be injured. Julie is friendly and has gotten along very well with our three other dogs. She has a lot of energy even after a 70 minute daily walk (approx. 3.5 miles). She can settle down for reasonable periods. She will bark at delivery trucks or people walking in front of our house. Except for her recently found ability to climb over the fence she has been a great dog and we are terribly sorry to have to return her to GRRAND." Julie will need a home with a privacy fenced yard or an invisible fenced yard, or a family that is committed to leash walking and exercising daily.
She’s house trained, walks nicely on a leash, is trusted in the house when we are gone, takes treats politely, loves our cats and big dogs, (maybe a little too much) and loves to sun herself on the deck! We recently started working on basic commands like sit & shake, which she is picking up quickly. She will make a perfect companion for anyone as she is a wonderfully loving, low maintenance pet"!!!
