Story
Sierra and her siblings Juniper and Forrest, were born on 8-15 and they are so friendly, cuddly and spunky! Their mommy is our sweet girl Joye, who is GUESSED to be a visla/hound mix, but we do not now for sure. Sierra is in a foster home and they say: "Sierra is 6 weeks old, looking for her new family to love. This beautiful girl may not be a Golden, but she’s a problem solving, confident, independent little sweetheart- a leader for sure! Her Mama, Joye, is only about 30lbs and knee high, so I’m guessing she will be smaller in stature, and her fur looks to be short, with her flashy little white socks, chest, and a dipped tail tip, she’s a stand out for sure! She’s starting off in a house with other big dogs and cats, desensitizing them to loud noises, ear and nail care, collar and harness training, and they currently are using a litter box in their puppy pen, but prefer to go potty in the grass outside. She sleeps in an open crate by choice or cuddles up and sleeps at your feet. Sierra is an adventurous, silly, playful little fluff. I can’t wait for her to find her new family to give her endless love she deserves"! Sierra should be ready for adoption sometime early/mid October and looking for a home that abides by the GRRAND puppy guidelines: Puppies are a lot of work, and if you are interested in a GRRAND puppy and have children, PLEASE SEE THE ADOPTION FAQs section of the website for more detailed info. GRRAND policies stipulate a few important things that may stop you from applying, and here are 2 big ones- A: GRRAND will NOT place a puppy under the age of 6 months with families with children under 6 yrs old  B: Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard... meaning direct access to the yard from the home… so this means no apartments or condos.  As with all puppies, they will need a home where someone is home most of the time as they need to be fed regularly, and let to go outside consistently and constantly ALL DAY LONG so potty training can be a breeze. They will be looking for a family with LOTS of time and patience to socialize and work with a puppy so they can grow up to be good pups! ***Exercise and direction are a must as a tired puppy is a good puppy!! It is a lot of fun, but it is a lot of work, and if you don't have the time, an active and non-stop playful puppy may not be for you!  Families must understand there needs to be constant supervision as children of all ages need to learn to respect an animal and puppies, and need to be taught boundaries. We are excited these pups will get to know what a nice soft bed, in a warm and cozy home with a loving family is all about! We will update as we learn more about these cuties, but if you are interested in meeting them, they are in a foster home waiting for you! Please fill out an application at GRRAND.org ##2152141##
