HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!!! Introducing the best and brightest boy on this side of the Rockies, Vincent! Vincent is a 5-year-old Vizsla mix and is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and ready to be the MVP in your life! Vincent is a true star and graduated from a board-and-train program where he learned and polished up on tons of skills. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and can’t wait to bring all that talent to his new family! Vincent is a confident guy looking for a confident leader to take on the world with. While being a tripod, he lets nothing hold him back from being a normal dog. He loves to go on walks and works with his one back leg like no other! It’s honestly astonishing how resilient this guy is proving to be. He is motivated and active, and he will thrive in a home that provides opportunities for activity, enrichment, and continued skill-building. Vincent knows sit, down, stay, come, heel, place, and has learned to walk on a loose leash. He is consistent with his commands and will be such a fun dog to work and play with long-term! The sky’s the limit for Vincent! Vincent does well with other dogs with proper introduction and socialization. His confidence radiates in all things he does, including when he is with other dogs, so he does benefit from some direction at times when navigating new relationships. He is faithful about following commands and just needs you to complete the puzzle! He has not been tested with cats and would do best with older kids. Vincent is highly intelligent, and his trainer even said he is smarter than most pups. This boy’s future is so bright, he’ll need to wear shades! If you are interested in meeting Vincent, apply today! More Vinnie Videos! Video 1 Video 2 Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##556845##

Story
OTTO's owner died suddenly and no one in the family is able to take him. He is 8 years old, neutered, house trained, crate trained, current on vaccines and in great health. Otto is a great size at 45 lbs. We think he is part Vizsla. He loves to run and play and - a bonus - is a mouser! His owner was a camper and hiker, so Otto loves the outdoors. He pulls on leash, but that is easily corrected. His foster brother antagonizes him (small Poo mix of some sort) with lots of wrangling but no bloodshed, and the family has a bearded dragon that seems to hold his interest for too long. Thanks for taking a look. Available for foster or adoption. Please email dancingdogrescueco@gmail.com for additional information.

Story
Rufus is looking for a foster and even better a forever home! Please email eaplevergreen@eapl.com if you can foster him.   Meet Rufus, aka "Roof the Goof" - a strikingly handsome chocolate-colored dog with a sleek, low-shedding coat and captivating honey eyes.  He was born on 9/29/18.  Rufus is about 60 pounds, a gentle soul and tender-hearted love bug at his core. He's a very good boy who longs for daily sofa snuggle time and to shower his forever family with unconditional love and affection. Rufus is an ideal household companion - he's perfectly housebroken, sleeps quietly through the night, and doesn't engage in any destructive behavior. He can be high-energy for 10 or 15 minutes at a time, but mostly wants to follow you around or cuddle.  Rufus knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down, and rides well in the car. While his leash manners are usually excellent, he can get overly excited and pull if he spots a bunny or squirrel. He is dog selective, however, so he can't get his exercise in an off-leash dog park. In his forever home, Rufus would thrive in a household with or without children, but preferably without other dogs or cats. He's an adventurous pup who would make an amazing hiking, running, or biking companion for an active family or individual. Though he may come across as a bit strong initially, Rufus quickly settles in and becomes the life of the party with his fun-loving, ham-like personality. Rufus has undergone extensive training, and his new family can take advantage of a free session to learn the best techniques for managing his occasional overexcitement. He's loyal, loving, and ready to find his forever home. Visit  eapl.com  to fill out an adoption application - Rufus' adoption fee is $375.  December 12, 2024, 8:48 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Brimming with happiness at her second chance at life is tenderhearted 2-year-old Brenda. The 36-pound former stray, so sweet and so snuggly, so easygoing and so friendly, LOVES cuddling up close to her fosters, resting her head on them and giving them kisses. Always excited to see them and equally excited to meet new people, Brenda enjoys going for walks, walking well on her leash, and using her sensitive hound nose to sniff here, there and everywhere. Fond of stuffed Kongs and high value treats and most comfortable around other easygoing dogs, she’s motivated by food and love, knows “come” and “no,” is learning not to countersurf and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now all this happy honey needs is a loving home to continue her socialization, complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that this time, “home” means fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
