Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com Max is a super sweet, healthy boy! He was a stray kitty looking for a safe shelter when some very nice people stepped up and took him in. He's very happy with his new indoor life. Unfortunately, the kind people who have been caring for him, cannot keep him permanently but are fostering him in the hopes he finds his forever home. Max has been around other cats and older, calm dogs and seems to be happy to share "his" home with them...he's a pretty chill dude! Max is FIV positive , but if you're not familiar with FIV, it stands for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). It is a virus that is not transmittable to other species and only spread from cat-to-cat via blood - so deep bite wounds. It does not negatively affect a cat's life or lifespan, nor does it impact their quality of life. It's really important that if an FIV+ cat shows signs of illness, they are taken to the vet immediately as they can take a bit longer to recover. Additionally, when FIV+ cats are taken for yearly check-ups at the vet, it’s important that their teeth are also checked as some FIV+ cats can have above average dental disease. Max would be fine in a home with non-FIV cats, provided the cat isn’t aggressive. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please contact NTCR AT 214.454.9395 should you have any concerns or questions. Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR, please email us at surrenderNTCRcat@northtexascatrescue.com.November 22, 2024, 11:02 am

She is a very pretty, white-with-brown-spots, Turkish Van breed mix girl. She was born during spring of 2022.She is sweet, gentle, good-natured and is curious about her surroundings. She enjoys companionship and attention from her humans. She very much likes social conversation and petting. She may be a little timid at first when meeting new people, but once comfortable she will be a good loyal friend. Yuki would like being part of a calm, social and stable family.Yuki was found with her sister Suki in the outdoor elements, both desperately trying to be good mama kitties while fending for themselves and their tiny kittens.A Good Samaritan who happened to be disabled tried to help them and many other community cats in the area, but the cats needed more help than what the volunteer was capable of giving. While their kittens were being placed for adoption, it was found that Yuki and her sister Suki were actually very sweet kitties and needed to find homes as safe pets, instead of living life as TNRed community cats. It’s now time for sweet Yuki to find the loving and safe home she deserves. Yuki can be adopted as an only kitty or as a pair with her sister Suki.Yuki is spayed, UTD rabies and fvrcp distemper vaccinated, dewormed, kept on monthly flea prevention, tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped. Adoption fee is $100.00 to help cover vetting expenses. If interested in making this special girl part of your family, please text or call her rescue friends at 817-937-5910 for more details.November 5, 2024, 3:48 pm

Story
George is an adventurous and loving cat with a patient heart. Perfect for an active owner, he enjoys chasing toys, "hunting" squirrels through the window, and swatting at sticks. His energy comes in short bursts, followed by lounging in his favorite spots—by your side, sprawled on cool tiles, or curled up in tiny boxes. Every morning, George greets us with a nose boop “kiss” and affectionate licks, showing his pure-hearted joy. While he enjoys independence, sunbathing or perching on shelves, he always returns for evening cuddles. George is especially patient with our one-year-old and two dogs (20 and 60 lbs), even during rough moments of toddler play. He gravitates under our son's high-chair or my dogs' crate where he will cuddle with them. He's well-cared for, enjoying a healthy diet of The Honest Kitchen dehydrated food and regular annual vet visits. George is ready to bring his playful energy and loving heart to a new home. He’ll be a loyal and affectionate addition to you :)
