Story
Meet Kyle – A Sweet but Spicy Senior Looking for a Quiet Home Kyle is a stunning 12-year-old Turkish Van who has been a beloved rescue for the past 10 years. She can be incredibly affectionate—nuzzling into you, curling up in your lap, and showing her softer side when she feels comfortable. However, Kyle has always had a feisty streak and can scratch or bite when the mood strikes. Kyle is FeLV+, which means she’ll need to be the only cat in the home unless any resident cats are also FeLV+. She’s currently living with two toddlers, but the chaos of a busy household has become too overwhelming for her. She has started scratching and biting, even unprovoked, which has created an unsafe situation for both her and the children. Kyle would thrive in a calm, adult-only home or with a family with older children who understand her boundaries. She needs a patient, cat-savvy adopter who will give her the space and understanding she deserves. In the right environment, Kyle will be a loving and loyal companion—on her own terms. Could you be the one to give Kyle the peaceful home she needs? Kyle is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsFebruary 4, 2025, 7:10 pm

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Fuji is a 1 year old beauty looking for their forever home. All of her siblings have been adopted, and she has been patiently waiting for it to be her turn. She is such a sweet girl. She has a more passive personality. She loves to play with the other kitties in her foster home and climb the cat tree but also can just chill solo too. She would be a great addition to home that wants a devoted kitty who wants to cuddle with them. She would be a great match for a person who works from home or perhaps you are retired and want a snuggly lap kitty to hang out with. She would love a heated cat bed in her new home and lots of toys. If you are interested in adopting a kitty for your resident cat, she would be a good fit for that scenario as well. She is a special girl, and she can't wait to start her happily ever after with you. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt our precious Fuji today!  May 19, 2025, 6:07 pm

How anyone could have left these sweet babies to fend for themselves we will never know. But we are so glad that a fellow animal lover alerted us of the situation so we could rescue these special boys. At 12 weeks old now they are ready to find their forever homes. They are fun, affectionate, loving and will bring a lot of joy to their new person or family's life. They could easily join a home with a resident cat, cat savvy dog or kids. They can be adopted individually or in a bonded pair. Here are some unique traits about each of them. Howard - This little guy is such a lovebug. He has an energetic and curious personality and is the adventurous one of the group. He loves taking naps in the bathroom sink. Its definitely a cool place to lounge on hot days. He is as cute as button and can't wait to have a home of his very own. Leonard - He is the observer of the group. He loves to hang out and watch all the action going on. He will join in but only when invited by one of his brothers. He would love to have entertaining bird movies to watch on TV or just hang out with you while you watch your shows. Sheldon - Just look at those markings. So adorable. He has a beautiful white coat with a black tail accent. He knows he's handsome and it could be because his foster mom tells him that every day. He enjoys every type of toy there is and is obsessed with the cat tunnel. An all-around great kitten. Raj - He is super affectionate. His foster mom says he loves to climb up into your lap and stay there for hours. He also loves climbing on his cat tree and napping in the cubbies. He has a very mellow temperament and would fit into any home dynamic seamlessly. They have been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $200 per kitten or $350 for a bonded pair. Apply to adopt one (or two) of these wonderful little guys today!May 15, 2025, 11:51 pm
