The family made their way to The Rescue House, and in foster care, they began to flourish. During her time there, we noticed that Katy has chronically weepy and slightly red eyes—the right more so than the left. We took her to the ophthalmologist, and she is on a regimen of three separate types of eye drops administered twice daily to address the issue. Even though things are under control, she requires follow-ups every six months to ensure nothing has changed. With that sorted and all of her siblings adopted, Katy now is ready to find her forever home too! PERSONALITY: On most days, you can find Katy embracing the true San Diego spirit by soaking up the sun in her favorite spot by the window! (In Katy’s opinion, naps are a must after breakfast or an afternoon of games and frolicking with her foster friends, so why not pick a sunny spot for a snooze?) Speaking of meals, Katy loves food and is vocal about making sure you know when it’s time to eat! Katy’s other favorite activity is playing. In terms of activities, she adores interactive wand toy sessions with you and boogying down on the playground with her feline companions! While she appreciates wrestling, cuddling, and romping around with kitten pals, she also is able to be independent and self-entertain. Adopting this playful sun-worshipping gastronome isn’t just for anyone. She is going to need a very special person who understands that she is exceptionally timid and reserved. Katy takes time to trust and form bonds with people. Not one to ever kiss on the first date, Katy expects you to put in the work to earn her affection and not to rush her as she settles in. Katy prefers to explore gingerly at her pace and retreat back to her safe space (under a bed) when she feels overwhelmed or afraid. Once she eventually lets her guard down, you will see an additional side to her. For example, if she thinks you have food or a treat, she will come out to greet you and do a little dance while meowing! The exquisitely BEAUTIFUL ***Pearl The Golden Girl*** was rehomed from Coronado Military Family leaving the country. Her GORGEOUS, pearlescent white fur compliments a sweet, cuddly temperment that Turkish Van's are so well known for! Pearl LOVES socializing with her humans. She is a Well Bred Hostess who will ACTIVELY GREET all new guests that come into your home! Pearl particularly loves cuddling with well behaved children BOTH boys and girls! Her current foster home has two boys, 7 and 9yo who adore this gorgeous girl. Pearl will do best in a NO STRESS, LOW activity home. She prefers to be the ONLY Regal kitty to Rule over her Castle! She MAY tolerate an older, mellow doggy, if the canine has the proper amount of respect, lol, and stays away from her royal food dishes. Pearl would LOVE to live in an ALL WHITE HOME/Palace, as befits her breeding ;-) However, if you have chosen to decorate differently and the humans are CUDDLY and sufficiently adore her, she has said she would be delighted to adapt to your fashion and style. THIS GIRL is very human bonded, so we are looking for a match with humans at home MOST OF THE TIME (not the traditional 9-5 schedule). He likes to 'help' his foster Mom clean the litterbox all the while purring up a storm. He loves to give head butts and plop himself down and show his belly for some rubs. He would be a great companion for an existing cat or cat savvy dog in the home. He could also be your one and only. He would love a kitty tree with different levels and cubbies to play and sleep in. He loves sitting on the windowsill and looking at the birds and squirrels outside. Of course he loves toys, and we know he will be a wonderfully sweet and fun companion for his new person or family. She loves to play with the other kitties in her foster home and climb the cat tree but also can just chill solo too. She would be a great addition to home that wants a devoted kitty who wants to cuddle with them. She would be a great match for a person who works from home or perhaps you are retired and want a snuggly lap kitty to hang out with. She would love a heated cat bed in her new home and lots of toys.
