At the time she was quite thin and had an upper respiratory infection that needed attention. Once brought in, she unfortunately tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV+) so of course, this makes it more difficult for this sweetie to find a furever home. All cleared of her URI, she is ready for adoption. Tess is a very active girl who is affectionate and playful. Our vets are telling us she has a 2018 birthdate, but she acts like a kitten - full of spunk! She is great with other cats and dogs (see her transport photo!). She can get a little over zealous, so children of an older age would be fine but we recommend she not be placed into a home with toddlers. If interested, please do a little research on feline leukemia before contacting us for a meet & greet with her. FeLV+ cats can live long lives if cared for with regular check-ups (at least annually) and a good, healthy diet. They can also co-exist with other non-FeLV cats as long as those cats are vaccinated for the disease. We cannot guarantee what her lifespan will be, but can we really guarantee that with any pet?
