MEET BASIL This boy has an incredible story. After being abandoned in a park, he was rescued by a kind lady who sought our help. Basil faced significant challenges upon discovery; not only was he declawed on all four paws, but his diet and health were also neglected, leading to diabetes and severe pain. Though we couldn't initially take in another diabetic cat, we committed to supporting Basil's medical needs and providing guidance. Under the dedicated care of his foster family, Basil's journey has been a roller coaster. We began by stabilizing his diabetes and addressing his discomfort. Surgery to repair his paws followed, relieving his pain and improving mobility. Subsequently, he underwent dental surgery, during which our vet noted promising signs of remission due to low blood sugar levels. Thanks to his foster family's dedication to a canned food diet and vigilant monitoring, Basil is now in remission. He no longer requires insulin, showcasing the transformative power of addressing chronic infections, pain, and diet in feline diabetes. Basil is now ready for adoption! He thrives on a canned food diet, particularly enjoying Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken and Fancy Feast. Basil loves to talk and is very affectionate. While he may need time to adjust to other cats, he would do best in a household where he can receive patient and understanding care. He must be kept indoors and does not get along with dogs. While he may not prefer homes with young children, older children who understand cats well could be a good fit. ADOPT DUCHESS! 🐾 This brave and resilient girl is proof that nothing can keep a true queen down. After a tough start to life, being hit by a car and bravely undergoing a leg amputation, Duchess has bounced back with grace and determination. She gets around just fine on three legs, showing everyone she’s not only beautiful but strong and adaptable, too. 🚶‍♀️💪 Duchess has a heart full of love to give and adores spending time with her humans. 🐾💖 She’s a total purring machine who will happily serenade you with her sweet rumbling as you give her gentle pets. While she can be a little shy in new situations, her loving personality shines through once she feels safe. After her surgery, she’s still a bit nervous about being picked up, but with patience and kindness, she warms up quickly and will soon trust you completely. This elegant lady is a total foodie! 🍗 She lights up for wet food and absolutely lives for Churu treats – they’re the way to her heart! Duchess also has a playful and curious side. She loves curling up in cozy cat beds, lounging in cat trees, and exploring her absolute favorite thing in the world: cardboard boxes. 📦😺 Whether she’s snuggled up in her bed or proudly perched on her cat tree, Duchess will steal your heart with her quiet charm and sweet personality. ** Duchess needs a quiet, indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with.
