- Cuddly, friendly kitty who enjoys being petted and sitting next to you - Likes toy balls, catnip toys, and wand toys - Enjoys treats, cuddling at bedtime, sunshine and watching birds from a window perch- Is used to a quiet home with not many visitors; needs time to warm up to strangers, so let her go at the pace she feels comfortable with- Not the biggest fan of being picked up and carried- Did well with two pre-teens in her previous home and enjoyed rubbing on them, following them around and relaxing next to them- Has lived with cats in the past, including some that were friendly and others that were pushy, which she did not appreciate; will need a slow introduction to any new cats to set everyone up for success; may be happiest as the only cat in her home- Has not interacted with dogs that we know of, but is not a fan of barking - Prefers multiple uncovered litterboxes in quiet, accessible areasAll adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) Primary Color: Black Weight: 11.3 Age: 2yrs 2mths 0wks

To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.---- Sweet girl who enjoys sunbathing on a bed or exploring - and when she is done napping, she will ask for pets- She doesn't mind a belly rub, and adores pets and cheek scritches, but doesn't like quick movements toward her face- Prefers not to be picked up- Has lived with other cats, but will do best with a calm, laid back cat that is not in her face all the time- Likes to play with anything on a string or toys that crinkle- Is good about using her cardboard scratcher, and will need at least one in her new home- Young, busy children will likely be too much for her, so she is looking for a more mature home, with people who will let her open up as she feels comfortableThis cat came from a situation where they did not get the socialization that house cats typically get from a young age. Because of this, they may be fearful in new situations and when meeting new people, and may need help getting used to a carrier. Since this cat has lived with other cats, they may benefit from having another cat friend to help them build confidence and show them the ropes.
