Story
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this. Elsa is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with my current owner in South San Francisco. Adoption fee applies. My family has just told me that they are moving away and cannot take me with them. So here I am, a shy girl, getting ready to meet my new family. Everyone tells me how beautiful I am and that Turkish Angora's are a very special. I believe them. I won't be any trouble at all as I don't expect much. If my food dish is ready for me at meal times, and my litterbox is clean, I am a very happy cat. I love interactive play with toys, balls of yarn, a red light laser beam to chase or even some string. Do you have some windows with places to lie in the sun? I would just love that so much! There isn't a cat tree where I am now, but since I can jump up on 6' tall bookcases my people think I would really enjoy having one. I also like cardboard scratching pads to manicure my nails. I am fine with non aggressive other kitties and I am okay with cat friendly dogs. Young humans are okay too if they don't pester me; I mostly ignore them. I really like treats! I reward my people with affection, purring and singing the 'song of my people', when it is time for my food. I am currently eating Dry Purina cat food, but please know wet food is my favorite, I love that the most. You may gently brush me if I am given treats. They tell me I am "food motivated" and it helps me respond to my people's need for my attention, if you know what I mean? and I'm okay with that. I am fussy about my litterbox, it needs to be tended to every day. Oh! right - I already said that.. well I do have perfect litter box habits if you are perfect about keeping it clean for me. I use Tidy Cat clumping 4:1 strength. About my shyness: First and foremost I am strictly an indoor kitty. My current home has lots of room, where I am free to roam and it's quiet most of the time. I like to sleep at night where no one can find me. When new people come to visit I keep an eye on them from underneath the couch until they leave. So when you come to meet me, I might need to be in a carrier so you can see me. I'll try to be really brave . . . .Got Treats? I will love you forever for treats! and that's the truth! Love, Elsa My foster mom says I am spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. They say that's good! I currently live with my owner in South San Francisco. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats (like me) with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you're my perfect adopter please explain why in the comments section of my Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Story
Flip Flop is a sweet, playful, determined kitty. She’s very smart and has found ways to adapt to her surroundings with her condition. Flip Flop has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, but it doesn`t slow her down any! She loves playing with toys and other kittens, climbing up cat trees to watch the birds, and snuggling all night in bed. She can also be very independent and will wander off to find a cubby or quiet spot to take a nap when she wants one. Kitties with cerebellar hypoplasia have issues with coordinated walking, so they often can appear shaky or jittery, but they are not in any pain and the condition is not contagious. She uses a rubber toddler bowl for food so she doesn’t hit her teeth when bobbing her head while eating. She is a messy eater but does try to clean up after herself. She uses a water fountain well as long as she has something to lean against. She is great at finding and using the litter box, although she needs a low entrance and high walls as she has to lay down to do her business. She’s very good at keeping herself clean most of the time but occasionally needs a little cleanup help. She does best on carpeted surfaces but can walk on wood floors. She loves having other playful kitties around and does not like being alone at all. She’s a great communicator and will let me know if she needs help getting up on the bed or getting to the litter box or food. When she first wakes up, she seems more severe, but usually corrects her path fairly quickly. We like to joke that she is 95% standard cat with 5% extra unpredictability in movement. Flip Flop would be a wonderful cat for someone who doesn`t mind a tippy kitty - she will fill your life and home with lots of love and laughter at her adorable and spirited antics!Flip Flop is in a foster home, so if you would like to meet her, please speak with our adoption staff so they can connect you with her foster parent. Thanks!
