Our bouncy Ben was picked up by a local animal control. He was very thin, heart worm positive, and had intestinal parasites. All of that is behind him now as he has completed treatment for all and is ready to find his forever home. We really should have named him Tigger as he bounces every where he goes. He loves to play and also can be a snuggler when he has gotten his energy out. We don't know how he is with cats as he hasn't been around them. Ben knows sit and down and is eager to learn more. He would like a family who will continue with training, and include him in their adventures, keeping in mind that he is a hound and must always be leashed when out because he likes to follow his nose. He would be a great walking, running, hiking buddy. Meet Walker! He came into the 4 PAWS family in May 2020; emaciated, heartworm positive and had several wounds. Walker has made a complete transformation! He is a sweet 7-year-old, 74lb silly boy who is good with kids and other dogs but hasn’t been cat tested. Walker was treated for heartworm and has tested negative. This breed mix can be high energy and very smart which means he will require exercise (mentally and physically). He will also need a 6ft fence with plenty of area to run. His new family needs to be committed to daily exercise, continued training, and socialization.
