Story
Howie is a sweet 2 y/o Tree Walking Coon Hound. He was found in League City, TX at a tractor supply where he had been abandoned. Howie is now full grown weighing around 40 pounds. Howie’s manners are good with and without a dog door. He has learned the word “no” well. He is very food motivated so this makes training easier! He is very sweet with kids and other dogs. He has a beautiful hound bay and will bark at almost any new noise to make sure you are safe. Howie loves to play with other pups and would do best in a home where another younger hound could wear him out! He gets at least one walk a day, though normally two, and is very good on the leash. He does bark at other dogs and people out of excitement, but he is never aggressive toward them. Howie is a toy dog and can often be found at night tossing his toys into the air to entertain himself. He loves puzzle toys, and tug of war/Fetch. I often have to say, “he is just a boy!” because he acts so silly. He flops down on top of you, and just does not know how big he is, he is so snuggly, and really loves to be loved on by his person. Howie would make an excellent addition to your family, especially to wear out another pup! Apply today to make this lanky boy a part of your family! PS This boy can jump! He will need a tall fence in a secure yard to keep him from going on adventures.

Story
Post from Foster: "Dakota was living in a wooded area in Lumberton amongst trash & debris. Feeders say he'd been on his own for quite a while. He was part of a rescue mission to rescue a mom, dad and 6 puppies on November 9th. (Dakota is the dad). The rescue mission was a huge success and all were saved! Some of the puppies were adopted immediately and mom (Peaches & remaining babies) were taken in by Time is Precious Pet Rescue in Batson, TX. - When he was rescued, he was friendly but hesitant of new people, understandably so. I took him to PetCo today and he was PERFECTLY behaved. Automatically stayed right beside me the entire time. Never pulled - not ONCE! He sat or stood each time when I stopped to look at things and very patiently waited. He is a little unsure of car rides, so he prefers to lay down on the floorboards all curled up and quiet. At home, he plays with the other dogs and when he's not in the mood to play, he'll lay under my desk, at my feet. He's not had one accident in the house or in his kennel - which is amazing, considering he was a stray. He plays nicely with my 3 other dogs - even goes inside kennels and lays with them, sharing personal space. Also shares toys nicely. I feed all my dogs separately, so not known if food aggressive or not. It's always safe to feed new dogs separately - Housetrained - Kennel trained - Other dog friendly - Does not "counter-surf" - Does not get in the trash - Doesn't jump up on people - Calm and quiet - Makes the "baying sound" that hound dogs make
