Story
Bailey is a sweet and loving dog. At an early age, she was exposed to firecrackers and has a terrible fear of thunder, fireworks and FOMO. She wants to lay right next to you at all times or at your feet. We have another dog and cat currently in the home and they all get along. The reason we are needing to rehome her is simply due to the expenses from the damages she has caused in the home from her fear. She was raised with Huskies, so she has a mindset of a Husky and knows how to escape from any situation. When she was 2, she escaped from a fenced in yard and was hit by a car on her front right leg. The doctors were able to keep the foot that was hit but ended up fusing the bones together. She doesn’t do well in crates, again raised by huskies and wants to be free. She is a great dog and has been over the years; however as she’s gotten older her anxiety has increased causing damage to door frames, carpet, and her crate. We have a newborn and with the ongoing expenses, we cannot care f

Story
Remington is a fun loving 6mo Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. He is a sweet boy and loves to cuddle in the evenings, he loves bananas and ice cubes as treats, and he is very food motivated. He knows basic commands (e.g. sit, shake, etc) and he is a good guard dog that will alert you when there are strange sounds, someone's at the door, or there is unusual activity around the house. He's good with other dogs but has not been tested with cats and he loves his people. There are some issues we've noticed with him, however. He tends to guard his food, chew toys are a must to keep him busy, and his nose tends to get him in trouble when exploring (and can lead to him chewing on something he's not supposed to). He is still a puppy so he has a lot of puppy energy that he needs to get out during the day and due to this, he may not do well with small children. He needs a family that can spend a lot of time with him, to train him and reinforce the rules of the house.

Story
We need a huge push for our friend Eddie! Eddie is in desperate need of a HOUND EXPERIENCED HOME! Eddie is frail, older but still has that hound spirit. He’s as happy as lark and wants to tell you all about it. He is in need of some groceries, a routine and a patient home. Eddie is a no go for cats but is dog friendly! He has been at the shelter since October and is the longest resident. Please help us get the word out. He needs to find his people! The kennel environment is not good for this boy- he sings all day long and is ready to take off the minute you open the kennel door. Typical coonhound behavior! If you have a friend that needs a friend, or someone with the coonhound hookup- please send them our way! We want to help this guy get out of the shelter quickly! He’s been there too long! Anderson County Animal Shelter 865-264-6315 1480 Blockhouse Valley Road Clinton, TN 37716 ADOPTION FEE IS SPONSORED. TRANSPORT CAN BE ARRANGED. RESCUES ENCOURAGED.
