It’s with heavy hearts that we are seeking a new home for Wally. He has been a part of our family for the past year after inheriting him from a deceased family member. Unfortunately, we’re relocating and unable to take him with us. Meet Wally Breed: Walker Coonhound Age: ~7 years Personality: Docile and laid-back, Wally is a gentle giant who loves to keep to himself but has a playful, curious streak. He is friendly with kids, other dogs, and cats. Needs: While he is primarily an indoor dog, Wally would thrive with outdoor space to explore. A large yard or open area is ideal, as he has a bit of an adventurous (and escape-prone!) spirit. Health: Up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

I'm just a hound dog looking for ❤️... Say HELLO to Sara who is looking for a family to call her own!! This love bug is around 2 yrs old, spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm meds, gets along great with other dogs, and we think she would be just fine with children as long as they are respectful with her!! She is Doggie Door trained and will go in a crate. Even at 2, she does have ALOT of puppy in her and will need to be reminded of her house manners. Paul: 75 lb Treeing Walker Coonhound boy, neutered, HW negative, UTD on all shots and preventions. House trained, crate trained. Paul is your quintessential coonhound pal, who is one big dopey baby- Saved from a high kill rural Virginia shelter literally JUST in time, he is enjoying life on a couch in his foster home, sharing the house with a one year old human and his parents. He gets along great with the other dogs in the home. Paul loves cuddling with his family in the bed, and definitely has a sense of humor! He likes toys and playtime in the yard. He is obsessed with dog TV shows and couch lounging. He particularly enjoys watching dog shows and football. Paul is house trained, neutered, and up to date on all shots and preventions. Story
Goofy Gus was hanging out in a shelter just north of Nashville, where his chances were looking a bit slim. He is now fully embracing cozy house life at his foster's house in Nashville, where he gets to sing along with all the other musicians in town. He is a big Cadillac of a coonhound, weighting in around 70 lbs.. A large, dopey, goofy boy, he has the BEST puppy dog sad eyes and face, but he quickly waggles his whole body and gives his humans grunts, smiles, and kisses. He is literally the cuddliest coonhound we have ever been around.... He walks GREAT on a leash and would love to explore both city and woods on leash with you. Gus also loves to lay around in the sun and shade, but would love an active family who has a large 6 ft fenced in yard. Meet Shautae!  This shortstack of sweetness wants your help finding a forever family. Shautae, we we affectionately call Taetae and Shorty, is an absolutely adorable mixed breed with an estimated birthday of 09/01/2020. There has been some debate amoung our staff about what breed she is, but we have settled on a Pointer-Basset hound mix, weighing in aroudn 45lbs. What Shorty lack in height, she more than makes up for in her loving personality. Shorty makes friends as easy as pie, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wasn't charmed by her tiny little legs. If you were to ask our staff about some of Taetae's favorite things, they would probably tell you how much she loves to lounge in the sun! This beautiful girl will take every chance she can get to lay out on one of her beds in the sunshine and catch some rays. Shautae also loves the company of other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. She is suited to a home without cats. Shautae does great with kids around 10yr and up, but younger kids tend to stress her out, so a home without little ones is best.  Shautae is fully vetted and spayed, her adoption fee is $175. Melvin is easily recognized by his black and brindle coat, and his signature white socks! On top of his sharp looks, Melvin has an A+ personality. He is incredibly friendly, he gets along great with other dogs of all shapes an sizes, and doesn't mind the company of cats or kids either. Of course, if you already have any other dogs in the home, a meet and greet is required. Melvin is working on his manners and obedience skills every day, he already walks better and better on a leash and is getting the hang of some basic commands.
