Story
If you are looking for a loyal outdoor companion with a heart of gold, say hello to Kahlua—an 8-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who defines “good ole’ boy” in the best possible way. Around 60 pounds of love and sweetness, Kahlua lives for sunshine, breezes, rustling leaves, and long, thoughtful walks. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t rush through life—he notices everything, appreciates the little things, and reminds you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Kahlua has impeccable manners. Need to tie your shoe? He’ll stop and wait. Collar slips off? He’ll walk right over so you can fix it. He listens beautifully and truly wants to please his person. He also has a fun side—he loves squeaky toys, playing fetch (sharing the ball is a work in progress!), giving kisses, and being tucked in under cozy blankets like the pampered hound he is.  This boy is also a lake and boat enthusiast—a true water bug who will happily join you for every lakeside adventure. He grew up with other dogs and prefers being the “big guy,” doing well with respectful smaller dogs or calmer companions. Solo walks? He’s relaxed and steady. With bigger, energetic dogs? He may pull a bit in excitement. Kahlua loves kids who treat him kindly and is friendly toward cats, even though he didn’t share a home with them before. Above all else, Kahlua is drawn to people who make him feel loved—give him attention and he’ll give you his whole heart. He does get springtime seasonal allergies, so starting Apoquel in February or early March keeps him feeling his best. It’s a simple bit of care for a dog who gives so much sweetness in return. Kahlua’s former mama adored him deeply but faced life changes that made caring for him impossible. Now he’s ready for a forever home where he can spend his years surrounded by stability, love, comfort, and a family who appreciates everything he has to offer. Kahlua is ready to be someone’s best friend. If you want a loyal companion with an old soul and endless love to share, come meet this wonderful boy.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in giving this boy the years of his life as your best sidekick ever   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cooper is a 2-year-old goofball with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He might be a little shy when you first meet him, but don’t let that fool you—once he realizes you’re there to give him all the pets, he quickly blossoms into your most loyal best friend. This sweet boy just needs a moment to warm up, and then his silly, playful side shines through. Whether he’s making you laugh with his goofy antics or leaning in for affection, Cooper knows how to win hearts. He absolutely loves attention and will happily stick by your side once he feels comfortable. Cooper is also a huge fan of couch time. After some fun and play, he’s more than ready to curl up next to you, soak in the pets, and enjoy a cozy night in. He’s the perfect mix of playful and laid-back, making him an ideal companion for both adventures and relaxing evenings at home. If you’re looking for a dog who will form a deep bond and reward your patience with endless love (and laughs), Cooper is your guy! Cooper has such interesting features, we decided to DNA test him. Story
Gingerbread is a gentle hound mix who has been learning that the world can be a safe and kind place. She can be shy with new people at first, but with patience and consistency, her confidence is steadily growing and she is blossoming beautifully. Watching her take those small steps forward is incredibly rewarding. She is currently still a little nervous on a leash, but Gingerbread is being very brave and working through it beautifully. She does best when given a gentle push to help her realize she’s capable of more than she thinks. Gingerbread will do best in a home with another dog to help her overall confidence and a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to encourage her growth. A quieter, rural or country setting would suit her best right now. Once she feels safe, her personality shines through. Gingerbread is silly, loving, playful and affectionate, and she forms deep bonds with her people. In true hound fashion, she is a foodie, expert snuggler and easily distracted at times. She is looking for an adopter who will be there to cheer her on through every milestone as she settles into a furever home.  Gingerbread is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a family. Gingerbread is part of our Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Because Mostly Muttz Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, this program allows adopters to connect directly with the people who know each dog best. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about daily life with the dog, and even schedule an individual meet & greet at an approved location—either before applying or while your application is pending. To get started, email meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information, and the dog’s foster or volunteer will be in touch. www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Gingerbread’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2599113&name=Gingerbread #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #hounddog #houndmix #adoptme #meetme ##2599113##

Story
Crumb is a sweet, sensitive girl who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. She’s very shy with people at first and needs time, patience, and understanding to build trust—but once she feels safe, her true personality starts to shine. Crumb loves other dogs and absolutely thrives around them. Having a confident canine companion helps her feel secure and brings out her silly, excited play side. She LOVES playing with dog friends, chewing on her favorite toys, and soaking up the comfort of a familiar routine. Crumb is still building confidence and continuing her socialization, so she’s looking for a calm, patient adopter who will move at her pace and celebrate the small wins along the way. With consistency, kindness, and the support of another dog in the home, Crumb will continue to blossom. Crumb has just begun leashed walks and is doing well with a doggie friend and encouragement. Crumb’s ideal home:     •    Must have another dog in the home     •    Patient, understanding adopter willing to build trust     •    Committed to helping her gain confidence and continue socialization     •    Not built for city living     •    Children in the home should be older and respectful of where Crumb is at in her confidence journey     •    Secure, fenced in yard required at this time.     •    Bonus points if you have prior experience with shy, undersocialized dogs. Crumb may start off timid, but her heart is big—and with the right home, she’s going to blossom and be something really special. Crumb’s foster is willing to provide advice and guidance after adoption. Crumb is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to find her furever family. Crumb is spayed, has all appropriate shots and has been 4DX tested. www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Crumb’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2599114&name=Crumb Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Story
Copper is a very good dog and we are devastated that we need to surrender him. He’s very lazy most of the time but enjoys running around outside when given the opportunity to play with kids and/or other dogs. He’s great with children of all ages as well as other pets and chickens. He responds to his name when called, is crate and house trained, knows a few small tricks. We only hope he goes to a very loving home with a family who will take good care of him. It would be great if we’d be able to hear from his new family with updates but it’s not expected.

PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 3/29/2026 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 Shiloh is a sweet 5 year old treeing walker hound mix. She is a spayed female. About 40-45 lbs. She is great with other dogs. She has lived with cats and other small animals before. She is crate trained, housebroken in her current foster home and is quiet/ rarely barks. Shiloh is on the shy side. She would probably do best in a home with other dogs to help her gain confidence. She will need a patient adopter to give her the time she needs to adjust to a new house. Once she comes out of her shell, she is very sweet but hesitant about being petted. She is happy to cuddle up w the other dogs but she is not the kind of dog that will instantly cuddle w people- that is the kind of thing that might take some time with her. She is energetic and playful and silly outside. She is calm and has excellent house manners inside. Applications can be found at www. Story
Meet Nessie! 🐾 Nessie is a 16 month-old Lab/Beagle mix with a soft heart and a playful spirit. She can be a little reserved when she first meets new people, but with a little patience and kindness she quickly relaxes and lets her sweet personality shine. Once she feels comfortable, Nessie loves staying close to her people and enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing. This girl has the perfect mix of calm affection and happy puppy energy. She enjoys quiet time just as much as playtime and will happily curl up next to you for some snuggles after a long day. But when it’s time to have fun, Nessie is ready! She loves chasing a ball, bouncing around the yard, and showing off her silly, playful side. 🎾 Nessie is also a very well-mannered young pup. She is crate trained and house trained, which will help make the transition into her new home nice and smooth. She gets along great with other dogs, does well with cats, and is gentle with children. She has even been introduced to horses and chickens and handled those experiences wonderfully. Nessie would do best in a home where she can continue building confidence while enjoying plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal dog who will be both a cuddle buddy and a fun playmate, Nessie could be the perfect addition to your family. 💕🐶
