Story
Hi my name is Daisy. I was given up due to not being good at hunting. I am a 4 year old coon hound. I know what you are thinking. Coon hound, she must be so noisy all the time. I can't handle a dog that barks a lot. Well guess what? I am a pretty quiet girl. When I am outside, if I smell something I might howl a little but that's it. I currently live with 2 females. One spayed and the other one is not. I also have a neutered brother. I get along great with all 3. I am also spayed so you won't have to worry about helping me through that. I am crate trained. I actually love my crate. Just please don't close the door. That is where I am most comfortable so I am super good and just go right in. Even at night. I am allowed to sleep with my foster parents but prefer my crate. Now you might be wondering about my eye. See I had a bad infection and they couldn't save it but it doesn't bother me or limit me at all. I love walks and am pretty good on a leash. I would do great with other dogs or as an only pet. I am a super calm girl. Don't I sound perfect?  Will you be the one to give me my second chance at having a family? I can't wait to meet you. I will be waiting for you with my tail wagging. ##2207533##

Story
Georgie was found as a stray and taken to a high kill dog pound in West Virginia... Pet Search was contacted and asked if we could rescue him, which we happily did! Georgie is a 7 year old treeing walker coonhound weighing around 55 pounds. He is very lovable and playful and would do well with a family that has older children because of his size. Georgie is housebroken and crate trained but needs to get acclimated to a new schedule. He is fine with larger dogs but has not been cat tested Georgie is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Applications s are available at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog or petsearchpa.org KL#03301 Washington PA 15301

Story
Tucker is the typical hound, and is a friendly and happy boy! Seems to get along with dogs, but cats may be too much like prey so may need to stick with doggie siblings! He is a bigger boy, and should make any family a wonderful pup!

Story
AVALON Attributes Likes some other dogs Housetrained Crate trained Needs a fence High energy This gorgeous young gal with movie-star looks is Avalon! Avalon is a beautiful and energetic beagle mix girl who would make a great companion for an avid walker, hiker, runner, or active family. A home with a yard where she can burn off her puppy energy by romping and playing would be ideal. Playtime with other dogs is a serious business for Avalon, and she does best at playing with another confident dog. Avalon is a beagle/boxer/terrier mix, and we’re guessing that she’ll weigh in the neighborhood of 50 pounds once she’s an adult. Because of her size, she’ll need supervision around smaller children but should be fine with older ones. She’s cautious around strangers and may sometimes bark but will warm up to them if given time to get to know them. She is also nervous about noises and new situations. Avalon is currently training to help her gain confidence. Avalon’s foster mom says that she a very smart girl and is picking up obedience basics such as “sit,” “wait,” and “come,” and is working on improving her leash manners. Avalon rides well in the car and goes to doggy daycare two or three days a week, where she really seems to enjoy hanging out and playing with her friends there. Her foster mom says she’s very food motivated and “eats like a vacuum” (show us a beagle who doesn’t!), so if there are other dogs in the house, she should be fed separately from them. When it’s time to go to sleep, Avalon is equally happy to snuggle up in a dog bed or people's bed – she just wants to be comfy! She’s housetrained with the use of a doggy door. If you’re looking to liven up your days with a sweet, affectionate, energetic companion, Avalon may be the dog you’ve been looking for! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full-time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor, or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet, and other important parts of your child's anatomy.

She is very energetic, playful, happy, and affectionate. Selene loves people and enjoys being with them as much as possible. Selene is young and athletic. She is good with other dogs and enjoys running and playing with canine friends. She loves stuffed toys, balls, bones, and sticks. Selene is smart and is quickly learning her new foster home. She would also love a canine sibling and a fenced yard to run around.  Selene would be a great companion on outings with her new family, hiking, long walks, running, and car rides.
