Story
Charlie is a good dog who needs more attention. My wife and I used to be able to give him plenty of walks and play time, but we no longer have the time in our lives. He struggles with some dogs but does great with others. I havent figured out a pattern. I do think best he lives with another dog. He is great with people, playful, and he loves to howl. Charlie only eats Bil Jac frozen food. We have tried other foods and given him time to adjust to them. It was not our first choice. My first Walker was the same way. He is good with kids except that he gets very excited when he plays and he is quite big. I require him to have a big yard and an experienced owner. He should be walked at least 3 miles a day, but more would better. I cant stress enough how much exercise and attention he needs. I adopted Charlie 5 years ago. He has never been used for hunting by me and has been scared of loud noises ever since Ive had him. I love him very much and a good home is a must.

Story
Meet Chubster!! He came in as a stray on 11/24/24. We think he is about 8 years old. When Chubster went in for his neuter, they discovered several tumors and his health has been declining. At this point, we are looking for a hospice home for him. He is a friendly guy who would love to be a part of your family. Chubster was tested with male dogs. We did test him with cats and he will need a home without!! Chubster is neutered, current on rabies and lyme/heartworm negative. He is available for adoption so hurry in to meet him! Chubster is located at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH Phone is 419-774-5892 It is an application process. You can request one via dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov

UPDATE Sissy as shown in the newest picture priviously an only dog shows that she has. decided to smuggle with another furry friend, who knew? a very peasant surprise indeed. She proves that seniors can do new things. UPDATE 9/4/24 Sissy has had a chiropractor adjustment. She is warming up to people. Knowing that she was raised by a lady in an apartment lets us know how comfortable she would be in a similar situation. She also "Baroo"'s when she wants to go outside to potty. Her weight looks good on her at 27#'s now. One other dog for a companion would be ideal and multiple dogs may overwhelm her as something she isn't used to during her 16 yrs. Time spent acclimating her to more dogs may do her good to learn. Sissy can be left alone for a period of time, would curl up and sleep Im sure. Sissy, 16 yrs old in March 2024, was taken in from a one time owner who is currently in a Nursing Home. This wonderful lady spent some time overweight but is now at a prime 28#'s. She is spayed, agile with a very slight limp, takes treats gently, has been in mulitple dog homes for visits, on thyroid medication controlled and maintained. She lived in a first floor apartment but has shown she can do steps. Sissy can potty on leash or in a fenced in area. She isn't a typical lap dog but friendly loves to be petted on the head. As with all dogs Sissy learned silly habits and if you scratch her back end she thinks shes going outside for a walk. She keeps a subtle awareness of her surroundings.
