Story
Are you an active person? Like hiking and being outdoors? Then I'm the dog for you. I'm kylo and I was surrendered by my owner because I wouldn't hunt. What can I say? I'm a lover, not a fighter. I'm about 3 1/2 and housetrained and crate trained.  And, if it couldn't get any better I'm good with dogs and cats. It would be great if I had a dog friend too. I would be at my best with older children. Sometimes I forget how big I am. So hurry before you miss out on getting your new best friend. ##1626861##

Story
(DOB 08/02/2021) Victor is heartworm positive, but don't let that stop you from adopting. Our rescue will pay for the treatment & will be adoptable within 1 hour of Wake Forest, NC during the treatment period. Victor is the ultimate "shadow dog." Wherever you go, Victor will be right by your side, offering unwavering companionship. His clingy nature means you’ll never feel alone with Victor around. Victor's heart is big as his 60-pound frame. This sweet, snuggly boy is looking for a forever home where he can share his boundless love, energy, and a bit of playful mischief. Victor's mischievous side keeps life interesting. He’s always up for a little harmless trouble, especially if it involves his favorite toys. His playful spirit makes him a joy to be around. Victor’s goofy personality shines through in everything he does. He’s a bit of a klutz, which only adds to his charm. Whether he’s accidentally bumping into things or making you laugh with his silly antics, Victor is sure to keep you entertained. And when it’s time to relax, he’ll be right there, giving you gentle hugs and soaking up all the snuggles. Victor has plenty of energy and enjoys his walks, making him a great companion for an active household. He walks well on a leash and is always excited to explore new places with you. He also loves playing with toys, so be ready for some fun playtime sessions! Victor is not just a people lover—he gets along great with other dogs and has even made some frog friends in the yard! He'd love a home with another pup but would likely do well as an only dog as long as you plan to spend PLENTY of time with him!  Victor is a smart boy who’s currently working on his crate training. With a little patience and consistency, he’ll master it in no time. As part of Victor’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Victor, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2220963##

Story
Molly is a 1-year-old, 30lb Treeing Walker Coonhound Molly was wandering starved when found and is now in foster fattening up and learning to walk on a leash and working on housetraining. She is typically energetic, great with dogs, gentle with kids but no young kids who can leave a gate open; she is a hound and will take off! Molly absolutely needs a secure fenced. Her foster writes, “Molly loves everyone. Very sweet and wants love and attention all the time. Just wants to be with her human.” Ideal for a walker-lover who appreciates the true sweetness and loyalty of the breed, or playmate for your playful resident dog. Please be aware, Hounds tend to have energy and require daily exercise and mental stimulation. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
We are looking for help in finding a new home for a sweet ~8-10 year old Beagle/Bassett mix, Chelsea. She is my mother in laws dog, and sadly she is in the hospital and will not be returning home. She rescued Chelsea in March of 2021. Chelsea is a chill dog who loves humans and is looking for her next family that wants to snuggle up on the couch! She is house trained and has also been trained to stay in the yard without leash. Chelsea needs to go to a home where she would be the only dog as she currently is afraid of other dogs (even small ones). She would get along best in a quiet home as she sometimes gets startled by loud or unexpected noises. Please let me know what questions we can answer about this sweet girl!

Story
Everyone meet Piper! She is a medium sized puppy who is full of love and sass - she could chase a ball endlessly while also being your best cuddle buddy! She is very smart and learning her puppy manners well, she lives to please! She has adjusted exceptionally well to a cushy home life and is getting along well with her doggie playmates. Piper does have some awkward wobbles with walking because she was born with underdeveloped knee caps, but that doesn't stop her from running and playing like any other pup! Her knee caps may grow in better as she gets older and our vets are monitoring closely. If you have any questions about Piper or her needs please reach out -- she is a perfectly imperfect girl! ##1852742##
