Story
Molly is a 1-year-old, 30lb Treeing Walker Coonhound Molly was wandering starved when found and is now in foster fattening up and learning to walk on a leash and working on housetraining. She is typically energetic, great with dogs, gentle with kids but no young kids who can leave a gate open; she is a hound and will take off! Molly absolutely needs a secure fenced. Her foster writes, “Molly loves everyone. Very sweet and wants love and attention all the time. Just wants to be with her human.” Ideal for a walker-lover who appreciates the true sweetness and loyalty of the breed, or playmate for your playful resident dog. Please be aware, Hounds tend to have energy and require daily exercise and mental stimulation. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.November 2, 2024, 4:33 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › 5 year old Calvin was found as an emaciated stray in Cumberland County; he weighed a mere 38lbs when he arrived at the shelter. He is on his way back to good health and is now about 60 pounds; he's still skinny so needs to continue gaining weight to be at his absolute best.Calvin is super sweet and the biggest goofiest goober on the block! He's good with anyone and everyone, but he really has no clue how big he is, so care should be taken to ensure he doesn't knock over your kids or intimidate your smaller canine companions. He's very smart and responds quickly to a 'no sir' or, simply putting your hands up in a stop position.....which is his foster's daughter's trick to staying upright in the backyard haha!Calvin is the anit-hunting dog, which is likely how he ended up a stray. He startles very easily with any lound noise and will make a fast beeline to the back door to go back inside! So if hunting is your plan, Calvin is not your man. If grilling and chilling floats your boat, Calvin's is definitely the GOAT!Don't miss your chance to make this charming boy your new best friend  https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=20959059Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:52 am

Story
Daisy is a beautiful 5-month-old female Beagle that has a lot of energy and loves to run, jump, and chase toys. She is still working on potty training and though she has not had an accident for over a month, I would still say she is learning. She has a bell near the back door that she rings when she wants to go outside to play or go to the bathroom. She is crate-trained and does not have accidents in her crate. Daisy also enjoys visiting Blessed Oasis to play with her friends. She loves attention and is treat-oriented. We can no longer take care of her due to a medical diagnosis and feel she would do best in a home with older children or an adult-only home where they can assist Daisy in learning manners and commands. In the past, she has played with small children and has never bitten them out of aggression. She does play a little rough and can unintentionally knock down a small child. She has typical puppy behaviors and needs help learning proper manners.
