Story
Oh Suzi Q, Oh Suzi Q, Baby I love you! You’ll be humming that lyric all day long once you bond with sweet Suzi. This 3-year old, 52-pound Treeing Walker Coonhound mix is the queen of cuddles and she lovvvves being pet, massaged, and rubbed all over. Fully housebroken, you’ll have no concerns about Suzi’s bathroom habits. She is comfortable on a leash and she does all her business outside. At home, she likes to frolic in the backyard, particularly if she’s got another dog to play with. She doesn’t show much interest in toys yet, but she will never refuse a treat or a table scrap! Initially shy, Suzi needs a few minutes to warm up to unfamiliar people, especially males, but once she does, you’re a forever friend. Loud noises and sudden movements tend to startle Suzi, but she never acts out aggressively. Generally calm and quiet, Suzi is as gentle as they come, and her kind soul is ever present. She just needs a little reassurance that her world is safe. Suzi travels well, she shares her possessions with ease, and she rarely barks. She is still coming out of her shell, but once fully emerged, it’s obvious Suzi is going to continue to blossom and shine. Young and healthy, Suzi is the type of dog who will enjoy outdoor adventures, camping trips, and hiking in the woods. This beautiful girl has what it takes to be a great family pet. All she needs is YOU to make her wish come true! Story
Is there a doctor in the house??? Well, there could be once you welcome Dr. Dog into your household! This 3-year old, 65-pound Treeing Walker Coonhound mix may not have an actual MD degree, but he sure loves to make everyone around him feel better! Sweet and affectionate, Doc likes being pet and having his big beautiful ears scratched. He gets along great with humans and other respectful dogs. His activity level is moderate, in that he enjoys a good romp, a playtime session, or a long walk, followed by a nice nap, a good massage, or some chill time on his dog bed. Doc walks well on a leash, but can sometimes pull if his hound nose smells something interesting. He’s a minimal shedder and an infrequent barker. In fact, he rarely makes a peep! He responds to the commands come, go, and get down, and he’s smart enough to learn a lot more. Hard at work on his housebreaking skills, Doc has been making significant progress and is well on his way to achieving success. Wanna run an errand and have him hop into an Uber with you? Doc is down for that! A big goofball, Doc has some funny habits, such as checking himself out in the mirror and marveling at his good looks! This dapper dude is still learning basic commands and proper canine behavior…and given the opportunity, he will surely get there. He just needs a kind human to show him the ropes and love him up…and for that, he’ll give you his heart, his soul, and his never-ending love. Story
What a showstopper this girl is! Introducing Soundgarden, a 2-year old, 46-pound Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who is energetic without being hyper, affectionate without being clingy, and gorgeous without being conceited! ;-) Soundgarden loves all living creatures, including kids, cats, and dogs. She does especially well around other canines and loves having a pooch pal to play and run around with. An outdoorsy gal, Soundgarden enjoys going for walks and also really likes being able to wander about freely in a fenced-in yard. Being a true hound, her nose is always to the ground, working overtime! Sniff sniff sniff! Oh, what interesting smells there are out there! Soundgarden is 100% housebroken and very well-behaved inside the home, but for occasionally stealing a sneaker or a slipper. The stinkier the better! She only knows a couple of commands so far, and she isn’t terribly food motivated, but Soundgarden is a fabulous listener who is eager to please. A good sharer and considerate of others, Soundgarden doesn’t beg for scraps and she eats peacefully alongside other dogs. You can touch her anywhere and/or take away anything you don’t want t her to have, and she doesn’t react at all. Her eyes say it all: Okay, I’m all yours and you’re the boss! Curious, kind, and youthful, Soundgarden is a spirited young pup with a lotta love in her heart. Between her amazing good looks and her equally amazing personality, you can’t go wrong with this floppy-eared fur baby! Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966Available 11/2/2024 Originated fromMaggie Society DL# 16405Wilson NC 27893 Bandit is a four-year-old treeing walker coonhound. Male / neutered. Heartworm negative. He is deaf. Bandit is good with other dogs. He is playful and friendly. He is sweet and likes to be petted. He was tested with cats and seemed OK but he does not currently live with any cats. He has lived with children in his foster homes. He is housebroken in his current foster home. He is working on crate training. Bandit would benefit from having another dog in the house as a companion and a playmate. Being deaf does not seem to be a challenge for him at all. It will require some accommodations from his owner on building a system of commands and figuring out how to best communicate with him. At this time, he does not know any sign language.
