ABOUT TRACKER As his name would suggest, this handsome boy is a hound dog! Tracker is a 3-year-old complete snuggle bug. He came to HAP when his owners could no longer care for him. Despite being at the shelter after living in a home, he is the goofiest boy with long floppy ears and soulful eyes. Tracker is an excellent walker on his leash and he loves exploring the outdoors and sniffing around. When he wants your attention or to tell you what's on his mind, he will let out a typical hound dog howl. He is not a big fan of toys and would prefer snuggling his people and burrowing his head in your lap. He loves any and all attention, especially ear rubs! Tracker is friendly with other dogs and loves all people. When he can’t be with his humans, he is content to curl up on his dog bed and snooze. If you are looking for a lifelong companions like likes long leisurely walks and cuddling up afterwards, then come meet our favorite hound dog, Tracker! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Willa and Watson (siblings) came from the Brookhaven pound. We saw them on Face Book. The Brookhaven pound was going to put these puppies down because they were so shy. They couldn’t find a rescue group to take them. We decided to help them. They are super sweet, but they are very shy. Walter is not as shy as Willa. They feel very comfortable in their environment, but when taken to the vet, they do get nervous. They do respond to love, but they need somebody that will spend time with them. Because we are so overcrowded, they have never had an opportunity to live in the house. They were heavily bonded at the foster’s house, and they loved to play together. The foster did not spend any time with them, but the children played with them some in the fenced in area. They play well with other dogs, but they have never been around cats. Since they have been at Blue Ribbon Kennels, they have been in separate kennels for the past 13 months. They both need a special home with somebody that will spend a lot of time loving them, giving them a lot of attention and being patient with them. Please help Watson, and maybe even consider adopting both of them! Willa and Watson are in Mississippi. Rescue Rides is a very reliable pet transport and will transport Watson to his new home. This is included in the adoption fee.
