We are guessing Rocky to be between 5-7 years old. He is calmer and would be fine as an only dog but also does okay with other dogs, he just doesn't seem to need a canine companion. He is more set in his ways and is relearning that people are good. He enjoys being pet and is social, but he doesn't like to be forced to do something before he is ready. We anticipate that he will bond quickly with his new family, but would do best if that family could give him the space that he needs while he learns to trust them. He is completely crate trained. This litter of 6 babies came into the world on Oct 29th, 2024. The momma looks predominantly coonhound, but with a narrower muzzle which we feel may be some collie influence. The daddy is a big boned coon hound named Chucky. Both parents are on site and very friendly and outgoing and neither have destructive barking behaviors. There are 4 boys and 2 girls in the litter and they have been well socialized daily by the staff. They are quiet, healthy and active pups! If you would like to meet any of our pets, they are available for viewing, every single day from noon until 3:30pm. Calling before a long drive is recommended to confirm availability. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself.
