Story
Meet Koyra!  Koyra is a 5 year old, 53# Treeing Walker Coonhound.  Koyra was an owner surrender, after a change in life circumstance. She was loved and it shows, with her gentle and well behaved demeanor.  Koyra loves going on walks! She is potty/kennel trained.  She is a social and loving lady! Koyra doesn't seem to mind other dogs that are her size and bigger. Is good with kids. She is very interested in kitties, as she is a hunting dog. No cats or small pets should be in her new home.   Spayed, heartworm & lyme negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention.   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet! If it's a match, you can take home on the same day. Any other dogs in the home must come in for a meet & greet! We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!    Closed Sunday/Thursday    11-4 Saturday/Monday   11-5 Tuesday/Friday    11-6 Wednesday ##2211020##

Story
Name: Billy Bob Breed Guess: Treeing Walker Coonhound/ Beagle Mix Age: 4 years Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 35 pounds Shelter Temperament: Sweet Children: Good Cats: Can test upon request Dogs: Meet and Greet Required Adoption fee: $300 Likes: Going outside, walks, being pet, and snuggling in comfy beds The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
