Story
‘WINTER OLYMPICS’ THEMED MOMMA:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 43 lbs. & needs to gain more   Hi there, I’m Elana - momma to the Winter Olympics themed puppies.  My puppies and I came to Mostly Mutts, thanks to a kind person who helped all of us get here safely.  I’ve finished raising them in a wonderful foster home and now I’m excited to find a loving family of my own - one where I can enjoy lots of fun, activity and love furever!    • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I absolutely LOVE playing with the dogs in my foster home!  I am pretty energetic and may be a bit much for a dog who is not looking for an active doggie friend.  If you have a dog who is looking for a fur friend to have big play sessions with, let’s meet! / When I am in a chill mood, I pretty much ignore the kitties in my foster home, but – when I am in play mode, I do a good bit of play bowing and try to be mouthy with them – though I have never harmed them.  All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would do with other cats. / I like the kids I’ve met while with my foster family.  I’m super active and a jumpy, mouthy  player, so older children in my new home would be best while I learn good play manners with kids.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super sweet and friendly girl who is pretty submissive.  I get really excited to meet new people because I think everyone might be my new best friend.  I’ve got a curious, free spirit and I love exploring the world around me - if it’s something I can sniff, pick up, or check out with my mouth or paws, I’m definitely interested!  New places can make me a little nervous at first, and when I get overwhelmed, I might try to run away, so I need someone who will help me feel safe and keep a close eye on me while I’m learning.  A yard with a privacy fence would be a great fit for me to play in and explore with you.  I’m still figuring out how to live in a home, so I don’t really have my manners down yet, but my foster is working with me.  I’ll need a patient person who knows a bit about dogs and training to guide me with kindness and consistency. If you’re willing to help me learn and grow, I promise to give you lots of love, gentle hugs, and loyal companionship in return.  My foster says I am ‘funny to watch and a joy to have around’ – I bet you will agree! / My energy level is 6-8, though I can be quite chill one moment and full-on energy the next – lol. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and have pretty good leash walking manners.  I’m working on the ‘down’ command in my foster home and would love to learn more.  Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I whine a little when I first go in the kennel, but I settle down pretty quickly.  I’ve not needed to be crated at night recently and have spent the last couple of weeks sleeping in my foster’s room. / My potty habits are a work in progress.  I’ve made good strides and have started to pace and whine to signal that I need to go out.  I am still having a few accidents, so please be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to play with my doggie friends and – when it is time for a game of tug of war, I may include my people in the fun, too!  Treat puzzle toys are very engaging for me, and I love peanut butter-filled Kong toys as well.  Stuffed toys are just the best and – a true cuddle bug, I love affection in the evening - especially hugs. / Most dogs enjoy Pumpkin puree, but I think it’s icky.  Otherwise, I wouldn’t be happy in a home that’s not patient and willing to train me and like all dogs, I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I have a few lumps in my mammary glands which may be from nursing – this is being monitored and will be rechecked approx. mid-April – just ask about it.  I’m taking a medication called Trazadone to help adjust to home life.  I hope to wean off of it in my new home over time.   I am looking for a loving home with a family that will continue my training as I learn all the things that will help me be a great companion!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    March 27, 2026, 6:51 am

Story
Ziggy is a 4½-month-old lovable pup with a personality just as charming as her adorable looks! With her long, droopy ears from her Treeing Walker Coonhound mama and a unique mix of Labrador, American Pit Bull Terrier, and German Shepherd from dad, she’s truly one of a kind. This sweet girl is playful, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. She loves to run, explore, and be right in the middle of whatever you’re doing—Ziggy is definitely an “in your pocket” kind of companion who enjoys being close to her people and staying involved in daily life. Ziggy does great with other dogs and is wonderful with kids. She has also been around chickens and livestock and has done well, making her a great candidate for a variety of home environments. She has not yet been introduced to cats, so slow and proper introductions would be important if her future home includes feline friends. Currently weighing about 34 pounds, Ziggy is expected to grow into a 50–60 pound adult. She would thrive in an active home that can keep up with her playful spirit while continuing her training and socialization. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and loyal companion who will happily be by your side through it all, Ziggy might be your perfect match!

Story
A SWEET & FRIENDLY GIRL: Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 36 lbs. Hello – I’m Honeybun!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I’m so grateful to be part of the MM family. I’m currently in a wonderful foster home enjoying life while I wait for the day someone comes along and chooses me to be their very own.  I needed bloodwork before my surgery (see medical section below) and I've had that thanks to a generous grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I enjoyed hanging out with two dogs in one of my temp. foster homes as well as playing with some dogs I met at the Mostly Mutts shelter, so if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I was a bit scared when I arrived at the shelter but began to blossom quickly.  Then the weather got really cold and there was an ‘all call’ for temporary fosters to host us until the weather passed, I went to a nice home and gained even more confidence there and had a great time, too!  I have a quiet and gentle nature, and my foster said I am ‘just a lovely dog’ who will be a great addition to a lucky family. With my cute little face, I am ready to charm my new family and live a great life with them. / My energy level is 6-7 so I have pep in my step at 10 years old. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’ and ‘come’ commands and walk well on my leash, too.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts and in my temp. foster homes, too. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule with only a few accidents, and they were good in my temp. foster homes. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  My favorite thing is being with my people.  Whether we are enjoying a nice walk or cuddling on the couch, I treasure those times.  I love to be in a lap, so make room for me, and let’s cuddle!  I also enjoy playing fetch and throwing my toys up in the air when I play. / I was VERY nervous during the car ride from the shelter to my foster home.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I had a good dental cleaning and a few teeth removed, so my mouth is fresh again.  I also had a large tumor removed from my right hind quarter, so that feels better!  Just ask about it. I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  March 27, 2026, 6:51 am

Story
A SWEET LITTLE FELLOW:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 15 lbs. Hi, my name is Sean!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I really enjoyed the love and attention I received from the nice volunteers.  Now I’m in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my furever family to come and adopt me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked the female dogs, so if you have a nice female doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.     • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet, friendly, and loving little guy with a calm, easygoing nature.  I was especially sweet for my photo shoot and such a good boy during my bath.  I was even a wonderfully patient sport when they had to do some intense gum removal from my chest - how did I even get that there?  I’ll happily offer up my paws for a deep clean and stayed calm for ear cleanings, too.  I’m truly an all-around sweet, relaxed, and loving boy. / Energy Level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a smart boy who knows the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘stay’, and ‘leave it’ commands and I also walk nicely on a leash.  Let's continue my training with the free for life training that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts.  In my foster home, I don’t really need a crate and sleep soundly either in a doggie bed or in my foster’s bed. / My potty manners have been very good on the shelter schedule and are good in my foster home besides a couple initial accidents on the rug (oops).   Supervision at first if you have carpet or rugs is recommended, but I’m a pretty quick learner. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like being held and absolutely love attention.  My tail wags when I walk, and I enjoy spending time outside with the volunteers and my foster - and inside with them, too!  Let’s find a quiet place to walk together as loud trucks and busy traffic noises near the shelter can make me a little nervous.  I enjoy car rides while sitting on a blanket.  / Other than loud vehicle sounds on walks, I can’t think of any dislikes, and like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I came in with a little fur loss and healing skin, but with the good care I received, it’s great now! I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  March 27, 2026, 6:51 am

Story
A SWEET YOUNG DOG:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 25 lbs. Hi there, I’m Ronan!  I came to Mostly Mutts after my owner passed away, and while that was a big change for me, I’m so grateful to be in a safe, loving place where I’m being well cared for as I wait for my next chapter.  I’m a sweet, hopeful pup looking forward to finding a new family to love and call my own. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked some but not others.  My former owner’s family reported that I liked the dogs I met while with them, so if you have a dog already, let’s meet and see if we can be friends. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, though I did spend a little time with a 16-year-old whose company I enjoyed.  If you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.    • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as friendly and super sweet with people - I just want lots of love and kindness!  In a temporary home, I learned how to go up the stairs, though not down the stairs, so just know that going down the stairs may be something I’ll need to learn in my new home. / Energy level: 4-6.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning a lot with my trainer!  Some folks have noticed that I may know the ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘come’ commands, so I’ll be tested on those soon.  Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule and my former owner’s family also reported that I had good potty manners.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like squeaky toys, being petted, and curling up in laps - and I’m sure there’s lots more I’ll love once I’m settled in my new home. / Other than going down the stairs, I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I’m a sweet young dog looking for a great furever home where I’ll be cherished!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  March 27, 2026, 6:51 am
