Story
Born 10/8/23 Torta is a female poodle mix who came to us from Tri City Animal Control. Found as a pregnant stray, Torta started giving birth in the intake room of animal control. She has proven to be an amazing mother and care taker, “adopting” three different puppies while also raising her own litter. Torta is about 19 lbs and just about as sweet as they come. Torta is dog, cat, and kid approved. She loves to cuddle up on the couch with her foster family at night but would also enjoy some leisurely walks from time to time. Torta will require a lifetime of regular grooming. A home with a fenced yard and kids over 5 is preferred. If you think Torta could be the girl of your dreams, apply to adopt her at www.mikeyschance.com.

🐶 Quick Facts! • Name: Lauren • Age: 6 years old • Gender: Female • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Poodle • Colour: Brown • Weight: 4kg 🌱All about me🐕 P-P for POODLE!!! Hi everyone, this is Lauren! I’m a 6 year old girl with medium energy level. I am very affectionate and can easily get along with other furry friends. When I got rescued, I was already devocalized ☹ but I still adore people, whether I know them or not. I have never met children under 13 years old so it is hard to say if I can get along with them. Cats? 🐱I do not remember seeing them so I cannot say anything about them! Perhaps I should get tested as I am curious about it too! Did you know that I can walk like a pro🚶? If I feel tension on the leash, I will stop automatically. When I no longer feel tension on the leash, I will continue to walk. I walk well under guidance and I am so proud of it! I am comfortable with both martingale and harness. After my walk, I like to chill on my own🏡. I do not guard my food against any humans or dogs. If there is something in need, I will try to bark but you will not be able to hear me that loudly as I am already devocalized. I am still working on my crate-training. I just do not feel comfortable being in a crate and you will probably hear me whimpering for a bit. But please be patience with me for a little while. I will eventually get quiet in a bit. Cars? I still do not understand how to get in and out of my own but if you hold me, I feel safer and easier to get inside with comfort. For potty breaks🚽, I can do my business both inside🏡 and outside🌳. This means whether you live in an apartment building or a house, I got you all covered my friend! I am looking for a loving home where I can continue to grow and share my affection. If you think I am the perfect match to be part of your life journey, please contact my trusted humans! 💕 💌 💛 For more videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxFWqAW7JjE&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jz4xIF9CuHG3yM78ee-qYo1&index=1

🐶 Quick Facts! • Name: Kami • Age: 4 years old approximate • Gender: Male • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Poodle mix • Colour: Black • Weight: 3.8 kg • Microship #: 4101 0001 2666 701 • Potty trained: Yes 🌱All about me🐕 Hi everyone! My name is Kami and I’m a sweet little 4 years old boy looking for my forever home. I may appear to be a bit shy in the beginning especially when there’s any sudden movements or loud noises. But please just give me couple of days. Once I learn to trust you, I’ll be your best friend, very loving and affectionate. I’ll even let you hold and lift me up! By the way, I easily get jealous, so if you consider me to be part of your family, I better be the only furry one in the house! I play well with small furry friends, but I find it a bit difficult to interact with friends with high level. Despite my body size, when I see aggressive dogs, I would not hide or run. I would go against them so please supervise when I greet with new dogs. Also, did you know that I hate to get interrupted while I eat? I don’t mind when hoomans approach me while I’m eating, but when other dogs approach me, you’ll see me growling. I’m still learning how to walk on a leash. I feel a bit scared especially when I see cars driving nearby! They make so much noise all the time! Like I mentioned before, I get frightened from loud noises. So always remember to hold my leash tight when you take me out for walk. Cats? I’ve never seen a cat in my life, but I heard about them. Well, I can’t exactly tell you how I’ll react when I see them. With time, patience, and love, I will make a wonderful companion in a calm, understanding home. If I stole your heart, please contact my team at any time! Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. The call was put out for the need from several commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of the midwest. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. These innocent souls lives was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. They were one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 17 lives of mums, dads & puppies including Lily & her siblings. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Mable how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Mable & her friends & siblings were bought back to the WA state where she is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Talk about big dog personality in a tiny little body, well that’s Mable. When she arrived at 8 weeks she could fit into the palm of your hand. Mable now does not have a care in the world. It’s her world & we are just living in it. Mable is the best of both worlds, she will play with her foster siblings but then will be happy to snuggle up with you on the couch. She can be a little stalker & loves both her foster mum & dad. She is also very fast & 1 she can be in 1 room & then all of a sudden there behindyou. She has mastered wooden stairs & can go up & down them no worries. She can also squeeze through a baby gate as she is that little so that needs to be considered. She is curious with being in the backyard but is never ever left alone outside. She does not enjoy going outside. This little lady is now loving life in her foster home. She now knows what toys are & loves playing with her toys. She has been learning to go potty on material potty pads. At first she did not have a clue about anything at all but has picked up things very quickly in her devoted foster home. She absolutely loves her foster friends. She is extremely sweet but is very loving & a very cuddly little lady. She really enjoys snuggling with you & we know she adores being picked up & held & carried around to see what is going on. At first she had no idea what it was to be held & loved but now she gets ready to be picked up. The reality is, the foster homes are her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. Mable is a wonderful eater & we know that she is obsessed with food with the amount of weight she has put on in her loving foster home with the good nutrition she is getting. She eats a clean diet meaning, raw fruits, vegetables, grains & proteins & is on supplements. She gets bully sticks & collagen sticks & loves them. Well she is absolutely obsessed with them. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. She currently sleeps with her foster siblings & snuggled up together their foster mum said. Her sibling is also listed & his name is Oreo. She is such a very innocent puppy who just wants to be loved & to make up for her past. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She loves being bathed & groomed & tolerates the hairdryer. She absolutely loves you brushing her & will close her eyes & go to sleep while brushing her. You have to get her up to keep going after you have finished brushing her. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash. She is a puppy & we have not taken her out anywhere. Mable rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be sold & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us & her loving foster home. But she does absolutely amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Mable as you can imagine spent the first part of her life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Mable where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Mable is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Mable has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with her sibling in her foster home. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for her to thrive who is extremely playful. She needs a very snuggly dog in the home for her to play with. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Mable is roughly 3.8 lbs & she is roughly 8 months old & ‭a toy/tea cup poodle‬. She has put on a lot of weight since being in the rescue in her foster home. What she is mixed with we are not sure. We treated her for coccidia & giradia as we do with all puppies. Female, she is spayed by laser by our vets, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHPP, bordatella, leptospirosis, dewormed. We have spent far more on Mable with paying for her from a commercial breeder. Bringing her to WA with her travel costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA & Omaha etc & bringing her to WA then her adoption fee comes close to covering. Mable has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Mable was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Mable’s friends & sibling she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Mable potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Mable & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Mable who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for the special sweet little Mable. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Mable has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Story
Yaya is a total sweetheart wrapped up in a beautiful honey-colored coat! This toy poodle is all about cuddles and belly rubs, and she gets along fabulously with everyone-dogs, kids, and even cats! She's a nature lover at heart, thriving on trail walks and swims in the river, so keep a close eye on her water-loving spirit. Long car rides? No problem-Yaya's your perfect road trip buddy, snoozing the miles away or enjoying the sights with a wagging tail. At home, Yaya's perfectly happy sleeping in her bed or crate, as long as the door stays open-she just needs to know where you are to feel safe. While she's still learning to go potty during walks, she's doing great with potty pads and picking up new commands quickly! Just a heads-up: she's a little protective of her food and will give a gentle growl if another dog gets too close during mealtime, but other than that, she's as friendly and trusting as can be. Loud noises or overly aggressive touches might spook her, and she prefers gentle hands, especially from kids, but she doesn't have an ounce of aggression. Yaya has made fast friends with cats, dogs, and even a 4-year-old, proving she's as resilient and loving as they come. This fun, chill companion is ready to be your adventure buddy by day and cuddle bug by night! * Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.
