Story
I love gray. He’s a little scary and a TINY bit aggressive but it’s ONLY because he’s scared! He’s about 8 lbs. he’s a sweetheart and very loyal and he knows to use the bathroom outside and he’s an energetic little happy fella! He has a cage and dog food. He’s also always hungry lol. He knows the words “sit” and “cage” as well too. I’m in nursing school, I work in the ER, and my dad just kicked me out so now I’m living with my boyfriend and he also works and is in school…. If I can keep him I would… just please make sure he’s happy.

Story
Meet ROBIN PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - ROBIN BREED - Toy Poodle/Jack Russell mix SIZE - About 10 pounds AGE - 9 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Robin is one of two dogs that recently came to us from rural NC. Sadly, an elderly couple owned them and both passed away within a short time span. There was no family able to take in their beloved pets, so they came into rescue. Robin is missing him humans. He lays and cries for them. He seeks human companionship and is happy beside his person or on their lap. Still adjusting to his new normal, he is at first a bit hesitant to warm up, but treats are the way to his heart! We believe that Robin would be well suited in a quiet, predictable home with an adopter who has time to spend with him. Robin is 9 years old and in good health. He has been recently neutered and caught up with all vaccines. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be sought. He will make a wonderful companion for a senior person who is able to care for him independently. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Robin and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Robin at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
