Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 01/09/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Faith and her mother Molly were abandoned outside of a NC shelter when they were less than 1 day old. Foster location: Foster Home in Raleigh, NC Special Needs? Faith is up to date on vaccines for her age. Faith is a cavapoo. Although Cavapoos are generally low shedding, hypoallergenic dogs, this is not the case for all. If you have allergy concerns, she is not your dog. Weight: 5 lbs and growing - we expect Faith will be between 15-20 lbs when full grown Height: 6 in and growing - we expect Faith will be 12-14 in when full grown Spayed/Neutered: No - Faith is too small to be spayed. She will be adopted on a spay/neuter addendum requiring you to spay her at your expense within 9 months and provide proof of spay. Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? No though she would love one What kind of home would be best for me? We're looking for a very specific home for Faith. First, you must have another small, under 7-year-old dog in the home that is eager for a playmate. This is absolutely non-negotiable. Second, you must be home more than you are away. You can work from home, home school, or be an active retiree. Faith is a baby and needs lots of attention and a consistent schedule. We'd love for Faith to have human kids to grow up with, but this isn't an absolute. We just know she'll make a great family pet. And finally, your dog must sleep in the bed. Faith LOVES to snuggle and cuddle.  What is my personality like? Faith has been raised in a foster home. Abandoned at a shelter with her mom when she was less than 24 hours old, she's known nothing but being a beloved pet since before her eyes were open. Faith has been raised as part of a litter of pups that are happy, active and playful. She is a silly and curious girl. Faith loves to play, loves toys, will literally chew your toes if allowed, and is just an all-around bundle of fun. PUPPY POLICY: Thank you for carefully considering the addition of a puppy to your family. Puppies can be a joyous experience, but they can also be a tremendous amount of work. Since our goal is to place each of our dogs in forever homes, we are especially cautious with puppies. We like to stress 3 major things when considering a puppy vs. an adult dog: 1) many adult dogs are well bred, well trained dogs who find themselves in rescue through no fault of their own, 2) adult dogs are eager to share their love and bond with their new family, and 3) puppies will always require far more time, energy, and training than an adult dog. Our ideal puppy adopters are: -experienced dog owners with a solid record of excellent vet care of their previous pets -scheduled away from home for no more than 4 hours per day and have another canine companion already in the home -stay at home type of people (work at home, home schoolers, retired, etc) How do I act when I first meet new people? Faith never meets a stranger. She is a happy, bouncy puppy. Other tips and tidbits: Faith was born on 01/08/2025 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. March 20, 2025, 9:08 am
