Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs on to their new adopting families leaving at the end of March 2025 from Southern California where we are located to the East Coast. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed 😊 We would love to add Bear to our trip for the right home 💕 As always, for peace of mind for our adopting families we never ask for ANYTHING up front. Adoption fee/travel costs are always due when we arrive in person with Bear in hand ❤️
Meet Bear! He turned 3 years of age on 2/2/25. He is a purebred toy poodle 💙 He weighs 6.5 lbs. Yes, he is full grown and at a very healthy weight ☺️ He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, had a dental cleaning, and had a wonderful overall exam with our vet who has officially cleared him to find a home all his own 😊
He is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom. He does like to sleep in, in the morning so we let him and once we are done tending to all of our other dogs we come back around to him and he happily jumps into our arms so we can carry him outside 🙃 Yes, he is pretty pampered 🥰 He is also pad trained, and will use a puppy pad if needed, or in his space. He freely goes outside during the day when asked to if he needs to but he is always accompanied due to his small size and the wildlife we have here.
He is crate trained, and has no problem sleeping in a crate at night if desired. He however sleeps in his own bed at night outside of the crate and he loves that arrangement. He hasn't been in bed with us, but I'm certain he would love to snuggle with his human if allowed. If not, he is happy just to be near you in the same room ❤️
He is leash trained, and LOVES his walks. He is an adventurous little guy, and is always happy exploring during his walks especially when he gets to meet new friends along the way!
He is amazing with all dogs, and cats alike. He is a friend to all animals ❤️❤️❤️ He is very docile, and just plain SWEET! He loves every single living and breathing being, so if you have another beautifully natured animal in your home he would happily join them in life, but if not that's okay too!! His greatest attribute is the friendship he gives his humans. He will spin in excitement, tail wagging, talking his little head off when he sees you. His joy is so evident he can't contain it inside himself and has to let you know that he is overjoyed that you are there with him after waking up in the morning, or coming back home from running an errand. He is that little friend that you look forward to coming home to, and one you are sad to have to leave behind! The good thing is that he is AMAZING in the car, so if you can take him with you he would happily join you every single time whether around town, or out of town he will be happy to be a part of your travels ❤️❤️
He has amazing house manners, and isn't high energy whatsoever! He is easy to make happy 😃 Just seeing his little heart light up makes our hearts full beyond measure ❤️❤️❤️ He isn't a barker, but will alert you if unfamiliar noises. He does listen very well, so a quick "no barking" will suffice any unnecessary barking especially if you have it taken care of. He is very serene tempered, but fun! And full of life when around you ❤ ️ Don't let this amazing, sweet boy pass you by, I assure you that he is one that you need in your life even if you don't know it just yet!!! Meet him and fall in love. You'll thank me later 😊😊😊
Best part?? He smiles, when his eyes light up, you'll see him smile!! Be the reason he continues to smile!!
His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_bear
It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, dental cleaning, extractions that were needed as he had quite a few abscesses from lack of dental care in his previous home that left an infection to set in. We are thankful he made it to us when he did, because it was starting to make him physically sick as he couldn't eat with his mouth as bad as it was. Now he is completely healed, and eating like a champ! He actually loves telling you that he is ready for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack or two if he can convince you of it 😂 His adoption fee also covers the antibiotics given to aid in the healing of his dental, and no his tongue doesn't hang from his mouth. He has more than enough teeth left to eat a normal diet, and to keep his tongue in place 😉
His adoption fee also goes back into the care involved in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs (yes he is phenomenal at the groomers and absolutely loves to be pampered!) and the training we have personally done with him in preparation of his journey home ❤️
