Story
Please meet the often imitated but never duplicated Dorothy Rag! Dorothy is just 12 years young and weights around 8 lbs. She loves kids, dogs, cats, any creature you can find but rest assured with only 1 teeth she promises to never be a violent liability! She is super food motivated and does need soft food on account of her lack of teeth. She is not a fast mover and shaker - she walks a little funny but still gets around as needed! She tries pretty hard on to make it on the wee wee pad but this a work in progress. A recent x-ray showed a little spot on her back leg which could be anything under the sun but given her age she would not be a candidate for treatment no matter what it is…so we say we need someone that will just let Dorothy Rag be Dorothy Rag and be her best self in the days she has left!
Interested in becoming a forever home for this lovely lady? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application.
Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws.
We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Bailey.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Bailey the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.
Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
