I'm Jockey, a sweet and small Mini Poodle weighing in at just 5 pounds. I'm 4 years old and ready to find my forever home. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared, but I've been working hard to overcome my fears and now my true personality is starting to shine through. At home, I'm becoming more comfortable every day. I used to hide when someone tried to pick me up, but now that I have gotten to know my foster mom, I lay down calmly  ready for some love. I enjoy spending time in the yard, especially when the neighbors walk by with their dogs. I love sniffing and checking out all the pups and people from the safety of my fence. To help me live my best life, I do need a canine companion in my new home. I have a few adorable quirks that will make you smile. I do a little dance when it's mealtime, and if you're not paying attention to me during treat time, I'll pat your leg to make sure you see me. I'm quite the foodie and love treats and chew bones. Just a heads-up, I prefer to keep my chewies to myself! I'm still working on overcoming some fears, like loud noises, which can be a bit scary for me. But with patience and kindness, I'm getting better every day. I'm almost potty trained as long as I'm on a good schedule, and I'm also crate trained. I don't need a fenced yard because we're working on leash training, and I'm doing well with that in quieter areas. I will need more practice with leash training in my forever home. I can get a bit vocal when you leave the house, but that's just because I love being around my people. It would be best if I didn't have shared walls.  If you're looking for a fantastic companion who will dance into your heart, look no further! This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. Say “Hello” to AKC finished Champion “Lomar Swag Ruthless Energy”, or as we call her “Ruthie”. She was born October 19th, 2017, so she has just turned 7 years old. This is a small black Toy Poodle girl who is 10 inches tall from the floor to her withers and weighs a healthy 7 pounds. We have her 5-generation pedigree which shows Ruthie was a part of our AKC Champions lines along with the internationally famous "Hell’s A Blazen" and "Custom’s lines". Ruthie is now retired from her show and breeding career and is looking for her forever more family to enjoy her retirement. Ruthie is a Toy Poodle who is super friendly, sociable, loves to be held and snuggles with people. She is housetrained, enjoys being with other small dogs and is quiet. This beautiful little Poodle girl has been spayed, dental work is completed, shots and worming are up to date, heartworm/Lymes (4DX) tested negative and is Home Again Microchipped. As with all the other Poodles we have adopted, Ruthie’s adoption fee is 1 million, trillion, zillion dollars. However, for the right family her adoption fee will be $650.00. This adoption fee includes all her Vet work, her kennel, a bag of quality dog food, a dog food container, treats, dog toys in a cute toy box, a new blanket, a dog bed along with lots of good information to help your Poodle’s adoption move forward on the right paw! A securly fenced yard is required as she is not leash trained. Please, NO small children, NO large or aggressive dogs. Location: Monticello, MN Ziggy will melt your heart! He was an unclaimed stray that needed a some TLC but is now fresh as can be! He is fostered with cats and dogs and around little kids and is great with all! His favorite thing to do is snuggle with his foster parents. He's great at walking on a leash and doing his business outside! Oh, and he's also great on car rides!
