Wow! This one is gonna hurt;)
Meet Theo - often called Leo or peanut. All dogs need a nickname, right? Theo is an AMAZING little 6.5lb toy poodle who has a long past to be just 11 months old but that doesn't hold him back He walks in the room and acts like he owns the place His only down fall.. he often likes to hear himself talk if he can't get to you
Age? 11 months
Weight: 6.5lbs
Energy level 1-3: 1
Grooming: will need to have regular grooming and brushed nightly.
Favorite activity? He absolutely loves to snuggle! You can’t say velcro without saying Theo! He wants to be in your lap at all times.
Crate Trained? He does great in a crate but would rather be snuggled in bed.
Potty-training-99% potty trained. When Theo arrived, he was not potty trained but he now waits like a gentleman to go to potty. He will have an accidental oops if you don’t take him out often. You can start spreading his outings out more and more if needed, but at this time he goes out every couple of hours.
How does he do with kids? He would be great with kids. Due to his size, he needs larger kids to love him.
How does he do with other dogs? He gets along with other dogs well as we have 5.
How does he do with cats? The cat is bigger than he is, so he doesn’t test his limits.
Is he Hypoallergenic?

How big will he get? He’s full grown.
Training? All dogs are trainable;)
He’s looking for a home that will love his snuggles as much as he loves giving them. A home that will give him lots of exercise and let him play with all the toys!
What's included in his adoption fee?
His adoption fee is $650 and includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella, influenza, rabies, and boosters when appropriate. De-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), spayed/neutered and micro-chipped. Each of our dogs also receive flea and heartworm medication every month.
We look to place our dogs in homes where they are loved, allowed on furniture and treated like family so please do not apply if you are looking for an "outside dog" or if you have any dogs who live outside only. He’s a young and tiny guy so for the safety of all involved, we want you to consider this when applying to adopt. If you're looking for a dog who will keep you warm at night or snuggled by your side while watching TV, one who will enjoy playing in the yard, or one who’ll enjoy going and doing whatever the day finds, this may be the guy for you. Theo’s wish list consists of an inside forever home. A home with lots of toys and pet parents who understand the time commitment that a new puppy requires. We’d like to see Theo have a fenced in yard to be able to roam and play, but that’s not a deal breaker.

Our application weeds out those who are not serious about adopting. When filling out the application, please be sure to include as much information and be as detailed as possible- your explanation could be what sets your application aside from the rest.
Please, if you are not serious about adoption, or if you are considering another dog, we respectfully ask you to please not proceed as our volunteers have other full time jobs and reading through applications and calling vet references is time consuming.
Please know, if you’re asked to come for a meet and greet, it’s just that- you are coming to meet the dog. We are the dogs advocate, so we are watching to see how the dog interacts with the family, and how the family interacts with the dog. Our goal is to place all of our dogs in the home that’s best suited for them.
