Story
Annie came into the rescue with Ariel. The lady who contacted us had saved them from a bad situation where they were literally skin and bones and probably near death. She got them built up some physically but they still were underweight when we got them in. She could not keep them any longer and asked us to help them and find them homes where they will be loved and cared for properly. Annie is the more outgoing of the two. She is ready to be right where you are and eager to be someone's baby! Annie has a very sweet, friendly nature and seems to love everyone. We do think she would fit well into any home environment. Annie is not housebroken and probably has never had any real training of any kind. We have started getting them crate trained but they still aren't 100% yet. They seem to both do well with other dogs and we feel like they would do well with cats also. They are both very sweet girls who just need to find a home where they matter. They will thrive in that environment! We do not know if either girl is leash trained. They do well in a fenced area. They are poodles so they will require grooming to keep their coats looking their best and to prevent matting. Please keep that in mind if considering adopting either of the girls. Annie saw the vet on 9/25/24 and was found to have an ear infection in both ears, a skin infection and is potentially blind in one eye. She received a Claro Otic in each ear, a Convenia injection for her skin and no treatment for her eye. It is unknown if it is cloudy from a previous injury or from an underlying issue or birth defect. She is negative on her heartworm test and has been started on heartworm prevention and flea control. Annie tested positive for hookworms on her fecal so she was given a Drontal to treat. Annie weighed 8.2 pounds as of 9/25/24. Overall, she's a healthy girl ready to start her new life! If interested in giving Annie her forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Annie's adoption fee will be $400 to help cover the cost of her vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will determine whether the applicant would be a good fit for Annie based on the info provided in the application. If we feel that you will be a good match for her, we will set up a meet and greet appointment with you.

She got them built up some physically but they still were underweight when we got them in. She could not keep them any longer and asked us to help them and find them homes where they will be loved and cared for properly. Ariel is the more shyer, more reserved of the two. She is eager to be someone's baby and learn to trust again! Ariel has a very sweet, friendly nature but can be timid initially. We do think she would fit well into most home environments. Ariel is not housebroken and probably has never had any real training of any kind. We have started getting them crate trained but they still aren't 100% yet. They seem to both do well with other dogs and we feel like they would do well with cats also. Ariel would probably do better with older children since it takes her a bit to warm up. She has never been snippy but having children grabbing her might freak her out until she got used to that type of interaction and your home. They are both very sweet girls who just need to find a home where they matter. They will thrive in that environment! We do not know if either girl is leash trained. They do well in a fenced area.
