Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogImportant InformationPlease read!If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location.Hi! My name is Nora, and I am a beautiful Toy Poodle girl who was born 2/10/19, and I weigh 8 pounds. I am very sweet and love everyone and a sibling my size to learn from would be ideal. If you have been waiting for a little Poodle, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.Love, Nora 011725-13January 28, 2025, 11:18 pm

HIGHLIGHTS:Needs another dogNeeds a fenced-in backyardNeeds a quiet homeI am part of the Patient and Waiting (PAW) Club. My adoption fee has been reduced to $250 (from $350) to help get me into my loving home!Meet Carla, an 11-pound female Lhasa Apso who may be skittish but has a heart full of potential. While she can be cautious, Carla’s love for treats will bring her closer to you. Her absolute adoration for other dogs is where she finds her strength, taking her cues and building her confidence from them.Carla absolutely needs another more confident dog in her future adoptive home to help her learn how to be a dog and boost her confidence. As she doesn`t walk on a leash yet, a fenced yard is essential to keep her safe.Carla has a playful side that shines through when she encounters sprinklers, showing glimpses of her fun-loving nature. Are you ready to provide Carla with the loving and supportive home she needs to thrive? This sweet girl is eager to find her forever family and share her journey of growth and discovery.- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Highlights:-Needs a more confident dog in the home -Needs a fenced-in yard Meet Anita, a delicate 14-pound Bichon with a shy demeanor and a gentle soul. Right now, Anita feels most at ease around other dogs, especially those her own size, finding joy in playtime and happily running about with her furry friends. She loves to snuggle up with her canine companions, which brings her a sense of comfort and confidence. She will need a more confident dog in her new home to help her grow and learn the ropes, guiding her in discovering the joy of human companionship.Although she’s not yet comfortable with being picked up or approaching humans for affection, she shows glimpses of her sweet spirit when she feels safe in a calm environment. Anita will thrive with an adopter who is patient and understanding, someone who can give her the time and space she needs to blossom into a confident, trusting companion. Since she doesn’t walk on a leash yet, a secure fenced yard will be essential for her safety as she continues her journey toward confidence. If you’re ready to offer the gentle guidance she needs, Anita may just be the loyal, loving friend you’ve been looking for.- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Cupid would thrive in a quiet home with someone who is willing to take the time to get to know her and build her trust. She adores the company of other dogs and enjoys snuggling with her canine friends. While Cupid is not playful, she provides a calm, soothing presence and truly blossoms when she’s around a confident dog who can help her feel more at ease. A home with another confident dog is essential for Cupid to feel safe and secure.Cupid is still learning to take treats from your hand and hasn’t quite mastered walking on a leash yet.
