Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $1000Honeycomb – The Golden Tiny King of Hearts At just 1-2 years old and a dainty 5.8 pounds, Honeycomb is as sweet as his name suggests. With his thick, velvety black curls and soulful dark eyes, he’ll have you wrapped around his tiny paw in no time. But don’t be fooled by his size—this little gentleman carries himself with confidence and charm, making his presence known the moment he enters a room. Independent yet affectionate, he loves following his chosen person around, making sure everything is just as it should be. This little guy has a non-shedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies or simply want a dog who doesn't shed. Oh but remember! That also means grooming appointments are on the regular. Like the golden honeycomb he’s named after, this boy is full of hidden delights. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, whether big or small, and makes it clear that he’s the tiny ruler of his kingdom. Rather than joining in rambunctious play, he prefers lounging in a sunny spot or keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings. His favorite pastimes include car rides, belly rubs, and curling up for snuggles with the people he trusts most. Honeycomb is alert and will give a few barks if something seems out of the ordinary, but his serious side is balanced by his love of affection. He’s working on his potty training and doing well with consistency, and he’s already mastered “come here” with some positive reinforcement. Honeycomb thrives on routine, and his daily schedule helps him feel safe and secure. His day starts at 6:00 AM with a potty break, followed by breakfast at 7:00 AM alongside his doggy housemates. A short stroll at 7:30 AM gets his day started before he eagerly hops in the car for school drop-off—one of his favorite outings! The morning is spent napping and hanging out with his people, with regular potty breaks throughout the day. At 3:30 PM, he enjoys another outing before heading back out for school pickup, where he loves bonding with his favorite teenager. Dinner is at 6:00 PM, followed by a grooming session to keep his gorgeous curls in top shape. His final potty break is at 10:00 PM, and then it’s off to bed, where he snores softly as he dreams of another perfect day. Just like a honeycomb, he’s a perfect blend of sweetness and structure—loyal, loving, and just the right amount of sassy. If you’re looking for a tiny companion with a big heart, Honeycomb is ready to bring his charm into your life. Will you be the lucky one to bring this little lovebug home?February 17, 2025, 6:49 pm

Story
Charlie was picked up near the beginning of January and was taken to the San Martin Shelter. He was a stray who was pretty matted and dirty so the shelter shaved him down. Charlie waited for someone to come and find him but no one came. He was adopted but was returned the next day. Another couple came and took Charlie to foster. They discovered something very important about Charlie. Charlie is deaf!!! Charlie didn't know any deaf dog signs to be able to communicate with humans and he had no way of telling humans that! The couple who fostered him felt that they were not experienced with teaching him so they called CIW. We have worked with another deaf little poodle and felt we could help Charlie. He has already learned some command signs and is learning others. He is a very smart little boy who just wants to please and to be loved. He is a healthy little who is current on his vaccinations, is neutered, and  is microchipped with lots of puppy energy. Charlie needs a family who want to spend lots of time with this little guy and give him time to learn how to communicate. Is that your family?. Please note: Charlie (two) is a Special Needs dog.Charlie (two) should be adopted with his best friendCharlie (two) has some separation anxietyNeeds a securely fenced yardMore information & application [ts=1739858422&src=aap]

Story
Meet Violet, a 13-week-old sweetheart with long, lanky legs and just the slightest scruff! She looks just like her sister Rosie and came from the same local neglect situation, arriving covered in fleas and scabs. But thanks to the love and care of her foster family, Violet is healing beautifully and blossoming into a happy, affectionate pup. Violet is a mix of Poodle, Terrier, and Chihuahua, making her a low-shedding companion. She's still a baby with no formal training or life experience, so she needs a family dedicated to helping her grow through basic training, socialization, and plenty of playtime. She's currently about 6 pounds, and we expect her to reach around 20 pounds full-grown just the right medium size! Violet's favorite place to be? In your lap! She's an absolute cuddle bug who loves to be close to her people. While she's still building confidence, she thrives in a home with another dog to help guide her and show her the ropes. If you're looking for a loving, snuggly pup and have the time to invest in her future, Violet might be the perfect addition to your family! Ready to meet this little love? She's waiting for her forever home! To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. Story
NorCal Poodle Rescue Male.   $350.00. 14 punds.  4 years old Leo is my name- being adorable is my game. I am 4 years old and about 14 pounds. I am the bestest boy. I get along with other dogs and people alike. Not sure how I would do with children, but older kids should be okay. I like all the usual dog kinds of things, running, walking, cuddling with a loved one. I am super cute and I bet we could be besties!  I came from the shelter, the people who had me did not take good care of me, but I know I will be much luckier in my next home!     Interested adopters should complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form.  An adoption counselor will contact you. We only adopt our dogs to families in Northern California. Thank you for your interest.       A Poodle's Best Friend Since 1985 August 3, 2024, 12:21 am

Story
NorCal Poodle Rescue Male- 8-year-old toy poodle. 6 lbs. $250.00 **Senior for senior- $100.00.  They call me Lovey, and when you meet me, you will see why. I am a senior- so I am looking for a senior adopter because they will know that just because we are older does not mean we are not super fun!  My owner got sick and could not keep me- my groomer stepped in to foster me for a bit, and she and my current foster both say what a great little guy I am. I am very loving.  I am a little guy, and I would enjoy a quiet household. It’s not that I don’t like kids- it is just that being small it would not be the best idea to have a lot of rough housing. My favorite place will be right by you, every step you take to keep track of possible snacks or to be in arms range for petting, and belly rubs. I am not a lop dog, but I do like to be petted. I like other dogs and I like to go on short walks. I get better on the leash all the time. I had lost a lot of hair before coming to rescue and the vet put me on some thyroid meds and fixed that right up. I have been having a hard time with remembering the housebreaking rules- I lived outside a lot; it is a continuing training.  ** if you are 65 or greater then Lovey’s adoption price is only $100.00 Interested adopters should complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form.  An adoption counselor will contact you if you are a match for Lovey. We only adopt our dogs to families in Northern California. Thank you for your interest.       A Poodle's Best Friend Since 1985 August 3, 2024, 12:21 am
