Story
Meet Glory, the sweetest little chihuahua mix you'll ever lay your eyes on! Glory is approximately 2 yrs old, spayed, and weighs only 10 lbs - the perfect lap dog! Glory was heavily pregnant when she was taken into rescue, and she gave birth to 4 puppies just before the 4th of July (Liberty, Patriot, Victoria, and Yankee). All of her pups have found their furever homes, and now it's mama Glory's turn to find her furever home! And she deserves the best! Glory is a shy girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people, but she is very sweet! She is good with other dogs, cats, and people. We recommend older kids (8+) who know to respect a dog's space (due to her small size and nervousness). From Glory's current foster:  "Glory took about 1-2 days to fully come out of her shell. She was shy and very nervous at first (has the typical chihuahua shakes, tail between her legs) but now is running all over the house, tail wagging, jumping into our laps and arms and wants nothing more than to snuggle in your arms. Playful and loves belly rubs. Has warmed up to the whole house, loves all people and dogs. Quiet as a mouse. Housebroken and crate trained. Just the cutest thing ever." Glory has been patiently waiting for her family for some time now, and would love nothing more than some humans to cuddle up to & maybe some furry siblings to hangout with. She is a fairly mellow dog (minus the occasional 5 minute zoomie that puts her to sleep for a few hours) so a quieter home where she can spend a lot of time with her people would be ideal for her.  She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Are you ready to make this cutie part of your family? Apply to meet this darling girl today! Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2207699##

Story
Meet Harley, a super cute 8 month old male chihuahua/maltese mix! This sweet boy is not expected to get much bigger. He is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, but we assume he would do well with cats. From Harley's current foster: "Learning more about Harley. He loves the attention of other dogs but is sometimes too much. He listens well when they are done with him though. He is super sweet and loves to be loved by people. Working on walking on a leash, he is getting better. Sleeps in his crate all night with no problems. He is a sweet boy that just wants love." Harley is medically up to date (will be neutered prior to adoption), partially housebroken (he does mark some, which will likely improve once he is neutered), and crate trained. Apply to meet this sweet boy today!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat.
