Story
Meet Lolly – The Spunky Little Sister! Lolly is the tiniest, scruffiest, and sassiest little pup around! This adorable tricolor cutie looks like a mini fox terrier, with a soft but scruffy coat and the most expressive little face. At just seven weeks old and barely 2 pounds, she’s proof that big personalities come in small packages! Lolly will be ready for her forever home in about a month, and we’re searching for a family who will embrace her spunky nature and commit to her lifelong care. Her ideal home will: Be dedicated to training, socialization, and regular grooming Have someone home often (no more than four consecutive hours alone) Provide a secure backyard for playtime and zoomies Ideally have another playful dog to help her learn and grow Bold, confident, and full of personality, Lolly may be tiny, but she knows exactly what she wants! She and her brothers, Capri and Ripple, were found abandoned in a cardboard box behind a dumpster in Fresno, but thanks to loving foster care, she’s thriving. We estimate Lolly will grow to around 6–10 pounds full-grown, though her breed mix is a complete mystery! We’d love for her future family to do a DNA test to finally uncover her origins. If you’re looking for a tiny pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Lolly just might be your perfect match! To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to. Story
Meet Capri – The Cutest Tiny Mystery Mix! Capri is an absolutely adorable, pint-sized pup with a golden and white coat that’s soft yet slightly coarse. At just seven weeks old and barely 2 pounds, he’s as cute as they come! While his brother Ripple is fluffy and black-and-white, Capri looks completely different—proof that puppies can have multiple dads! We suspect he might have some Jack Russell or mini terrier in him, but his exact mix is anyone’s guess. Capri will be ready for his forever home in about a month, and we’re searching for a family who will give him the love and commitment he deserves. His ideal home will: - Be dedicated to training, socialization, and grooming. - Have someone home regularly (no more than four consecutive hours alone). - Provide a secure backyard for playtime and adventures. - Ideally have another friendly dog to help show him the ropes. Despite his tiny size, Capri has a big, bright personality! He’s playful, affectionate, and full of charm. He and his siblings were rescued after being found abandoned in a cardboard box behind a dumpster in Fresno, but now he’s thriving in foster care. We estimate Capri will grow to around 6–10 pounds full-grown, though that’s just an educated guess. If you’re looking for a tiny, lovable companion with a unique look and a heart of gold, Capri might be your perfect match! Story
Who's that girl? It's Stiletto! Stiletto is estimated to be about 1.5 years old and is little miss personality. She has legs for days and is a goofy girl who always finds a way to make you smile. She is the perfect mix of playful and sweet and can't wait to find her fur-ever family. Stiletto weighs about 8lbs, but is a little underweight and needs to gain more weight. Stiletto came to us from a local shelter after she was found wandering the streets as a stray. She was never claimed by an owner and was very stressed at the shelter with all the chaos. She has been thriving in foster care and has shown she is a mellow gal once away from the craziness. Stiletto is a true lovebug who loves cuddles and being with her people. She will never turn down an opportunity to snuggle up with her foster parents. She enjoys her daily walks and has just enough energy to encourage you to get out and about every day. She is very food-motivated and needs a family committed to continuing her training. She is a well-mannered girl but doesn't seem to have been taught basic commands yet. Stiletto loves other small dogs and became instant BFFs with her foster brother. She can sometimes get intimidated by large dogs but could do well with a slow introduction. We haven't seen Stiletto around cats, but she could do well with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Stiletto could do well with a family with kids 10 years and older. Stiletto has been doing very well with her housetraining, but her new family should be patient with her while she is adjusting to a new routine and environment and expect a few accidents at first. She has been doing well being crated and does well in her crate when home alone and overnight. Stiletto has mild luxating patellas in both knees. She hasn't shown to be in any pain and doesn't require any treatment at this time. She may need joint support as she ages but is a happy and healthy girl now. Stiletto is such a happy and loving girl and she deserves a family just as great as her. If you think that might just be you, submit an adoption application today!   Stiletto's adoption fee is $250.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. February 25, 2025, 9:27 pm
