✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Binnie🤍 💙 Binnie’s Updates Account: @biniiii_eo 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and fully recovered from heartworm. * Has a severe underbite/malocclusion, and his upper and lower left canines were broken due to being interlocked. Has received dental scaling, and the upper canine has been extracted. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Binnie had been at the Gimje City Shelter for a long time without being rescued due to limited space at the Adogs center. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is wary of strangers and is on guard with guests that visit the home. Is especially wary of men. Doesn’t show interest towards people he meets on walks. Shows affectionate charm towards familiar people and has an energetic side. Sticks right by familiar people. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them first to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs on walks. * With Cats: Doesn’t show much interest in cats. * Separation Anxiety: Does very well when left alone at home! * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. Relies on outdoor potty breaks, so she will need to be taken out regularly to do her business. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro.Once a bond of trust is established, she is quite cooperative and allows her nails to be trimmed without much trouble. * Walks: When excited, tries to run. But most of the time, matches his pace with his handler and doesn’t pull on the leash. Keeps his attention on his handler and walks either beside or behind them. After coming home from a walk, he goes to the bathroom and sticks out his paws to get them cleaned. * Car Sickness: Rests well in a car without motion sickness. * Biting: Occasionally shows defensive nipping toward strangers due to wariness, but this has improved significantly. In his current foster home, he shows no signs of biting. However, he does have some resource guarding (possessiveness over objects) and can be a bit wary of men, so caution and patience are needed. * Barking: At home, he rarely barks except briefly when his meals are being prepared. May occasionally bark when a cat approaches him suddenly. * Likes: Likes walking, playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. Is extremely affectionate and deeply attached to those he recognizes as his guardians. * Dislikes: Is uncomfortable with sudden touch. Used to be sensitive about her belly being touched, but thanks to consistent desensitization training, she improves a lot. Enough time and training are necessary before appropriate trust building. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he is still being carried when he has to climb the steps. Is afraid of loud noises, such as top-loading washing machines, vacuum cleaners, or motorcycle. * Tricks: Has excellent recall (comes immediately when called). Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.' * Personality: Is a true angel—a "Giving Tree" in dog form! Once she trusts you, she gives her whole heart. Even when faced with things she dislikes, she patiently endures them for her person, expressing her deep affection with her pure, clear eyes.

Story
This animal is currently recommended for transfer to a rescue partner. This may be due to one or more serious medical or behavior issue(s). These animals may or may not be eligible for adoption, and they may require additional counseling by our medical or behavior staff. Some may be available strictly for transfer to rescue only. If you feel you are qualified to manage the special medical or behavioral needs of this animal, email animal.care@ventura.org and include the Animal ID#.Little Bandit has been an absolute love bug in our care, but we can`t ignore the difficulties adopters have had with him in a home environment. He originally came to our shelter as a stray dog, found running around with another small dog. He was adopted and went to a home with two little dog friends, but Bandit would not stop trying to hump them and the adopter decided to return him. A second adopter gave Bandit a chance, but could not overcome his constant biting. She said he has bitten muliple times (no blood drawn) when trying to pick up dog, pet dog and just trying to be nice to him. She cared for him very much, but didnt feel like he enjoyed very much - he wouldnt play even though she tried to find toys to make him happy. He also didnt enjoy going on walks with her.At the shelter, he shows us a very affectionate and attention seeking side of him. He will give warnings when he feels discomfort (like for vaccines), but is eager to curl up on staff and volunteers laps. This dog`s teeth have been removed for medical reasons. So though he has snapped and bitten, he is not likely to cause significant harm. However, when this little dog is exhibiting high fear, anxiety, or stress, care should be taken to help dog feel comfortable with handling rather than pushing dog into aggression just because he`s small and `harmless.`We are happy to speak with adopters who feel like Bandit would fit well into their home! Come in to the shelter to meet him anyday 1pm-6pm. Or if you have additional questions, please email animal.care@venturacounty.govRescues, please email vcar.rescue@venturacounty.gov!
